Tata Motors' to launch Nano car in Bangladesh

Guys, I think among all the posters here, I am the only one who actually owns a NANO:-) . Actually its my wife's car, but WTH.

Its a nice car for the money and if you keep remembering what you paid for it, you wont be disappointed. The turning radius is my favourite part, I have taken turns sharper in my NANO than on my Enfield m'cycle. The AC is really good and so are the seats and ergonomics, sorta....

The bad parts are: avg. plastics, no Left Rear View mirror, and not really suited for high speeds and very bad roads.

Lastly about the safety: The nano has had a lot of upgrades in the last one year, so the car is as safe from fires as any other car. Even the fires that took place were mostly due to incorrect accessory wiring done after market.

I realize that most of the comments about Nano being wrong for BD are coming from people who hate India, and one in particular who hates his own BD nation and keeps harping about how its creation was a mistake:-( .

You'all know who you are!

For the rest of the normal, patriotic Bangladeshis members, I say , test drive and see for yourself.

I drove it while i was visiting my relatives in india. They mostly use it as an utility car. It is okay, but the space is too small, and the turning wasnt that good, as per my experience.

Space is too Small? really?
What is the interior space like in the Nano?
The inside space in the Nano is 21% more than the Maruti 800 in spite of the car being 8% shorter in length than Maruti 800. The rear engine and the mono volume design has allowed for maximum utilization of the space. Also, all four tyres in four corners of the car lend to higher interior space.

. .
Yup i felt that it was too small for me. Haha inside of the maruti 800 must be freaking small.

Brother you better stick with Chevy Tahoes or better Cadillac Escalades. Tata Nano is not meant for you or your type.

Why should you buy your parents a car that according to you has a confined interior?

Nano is only good if they live in a City. I wouldn't put my Parents in a Nano of they live in some remote Village and have to travel on Highways. :undecided:

True but I have seen autorickshaws plying the highways and Nano is much better than a Tuk Tuk.

India's Tata Nano, billed as the arena's most cost-effective car, will go on auction in Bangladesh -- but with a ticket nearly treble what it is at your home. the least expensive no-frills Nano will can charge 599,000 taka ($7,900).

Firstly fhis car will not last in Dhaka, it will be bashed in within a year and finally it looks gay as hell. Only homosexuals would drive this crap.

. .
You just might have to buy yourself a TATA NANO then.

I am satisfied with my Mercedes C class which my dad bought for me, thank you very much i'll get my coat. Only an Indian would design such a raving homosexual looking car.
