Still there is a Zero civilian casualties .... TTP mainly live in remote areas like mountains, caves etc on which PAF pounding

and Almost all of the civilians have been displaced to Camps to ensure their safety



since AK/mbt 2000 is perfectly being used in terrain of Myanmar and Bangladesh (which require under 50 T on their soil ) ... We can expact that FATA area can't give any problems to AK

Main problem is that XI corps don't operate Alkhaliid or T80 ... The tanks which are being phased out by armoured Corps are being given to 7th and 9th infantry divisions .. both 7th and 9th infantry are fighting against TTP

T-59/69/Zarrar are available in large numbers so can be easily deployed for LIC ops. AK are front-line weapons and numbers are low as compared to the T-series, and will be used elsewhere (if required)

really..? No other pot shot left ? At least have some shame about your GHQ, and navy and airforce bases being attacked regularly before taking pot shots at an event that happened in Indian over 5 years back

Methods like this are cheap and good, I dont know why our Generals are not giving order for that ! Lack of resources ? Also Turret Skirts like the T-80UD has it and ERA Blocks would help to counter RPG threat........

Alzarrar Type-1 looks the best from protection in my opinion, Type 1 has a lot of ERA and notice the skirts under the turret it looks like they did copy it from the T-80UD Skirt:

Wow we are totally going all out here. Its like an invasion party getting ready. It seems raheel sharif has made up his mind. We kill them all. The civilians are in the camp and are and should be the headache of the people as the army hunts all of them down as they run like rats.

AK and T-80ud are already well protected against almost any threat in the region ,the reason even AZ is not pitted in FATA is it is an overkill for TTP scums. Hence, Ty-59M are pitted and doing a great job in cleaning the mess.

AZ type-1 in the pic has the same composite armour covered turret from front and sides, regarding ERA, it has single plating, later models have multiple plating.

Well once Haider and Al Khalid I and T-80s Tanks are there in Eastern side, rest of them at least partially move in FATA.

I think this is not the right approach. PA should send in Al-Khalid tanks, a few of these at least so that the machine is battle tested properly and the crews also are well trained in actual war scenario. Another very important thing is that it will be a nice publicity campaign for AK as the world will know the capability of this systems and so will our competitors. Since i have said that PA should send a FEW, we will also evaluate operating them in mixed formations with Al-Zarar tanks. I will say that we should also send a few T-80 and operate these together. We should use the integrated battle management system to direct helicopter and fighter strikes. This is a good opportunity to test all these systems and see how potent these are.

Frankly, not doing this do shows that the AK or the IBM systems are not battle ready (though not the case but still provides a strong point to debate on to the opposition)

I am a bit disappointed on our military dull response to these issues. They should be proactive and while we are spending millions on this war they should try to yield maximum benefit from it.

Tank is much vulnerable option in COIN war! as they are heavy and due to slow moving it is easy to target them by using RPG. But it better to use MRAP in COIN operations as it provide protections against IED and strong fire power to suppress enemy. But it is much better in hill areas where targeting long range enemy.

Beside, we have to remember First & Second Chechen Russian war; as Russia heavily used T72 and T84 but they failed to proide result and targeted very easy by Chechens during war.

If you look currently Syrian Civil War, Tanks are more vulnerable machine against RPGs.

If Pakistan want use it than it should provide infantry support to them to protect from close fire fighting. However, Tanks have not significant role in COIN War or against soft target. But yet can play heavy deterrence against TTP. But in most video, I witnessed TTP used RPG hit one standing tank near to checkpoint and they use shocking and quick attack, which make some regular troops to confuse to response appropriately.

Pakistan should strong sniper teams in areas and COINs groups in areas. As USA used GI in Vietnam war. They formed 10 to 20 people special groups to hit and run tactics (Surprise against Viet Kong beyond enemy line ) and same time sniper teams operate independent in suspicious areas for week long missions and hit Viet Kongs with effective Snipers, which frustrate them.

So, Pakistan should have to use diverse COIN operation as Intelligence and information.
