Tamils are not Hindus - Renown Tamil Pontiff

.
Do they follow different god's then Hindus or something....
I have heard they don't hate Pakistanis as other Indians do.
There are more hindu temples are in Tamilnadu than any other state in india and some of the grandest and oldest hindu temple built by Chola empire are in Tamilnadu .

.
That guy is a Muslim from Srilanka or something. He is here with Anti India agenda.

I would not go to that extent in calling him a traitor and his agenda is anti-India. His Tamil pride and rhetoric is blinding his patriotism.

He is anti India. Go through his posts and you will get it immediately.

He has been debunked many times here as he can’t even speak Tamil. I don’t know about you but my life is spent in south India and I have observed Tamil pride first hand and what he projects is certainly not the type it actually is.

LOL
Tamils non brahmins and even so called sudra clsses are staunch Hindu and catechists to the core .

E,g in village temples for lowers castes often fight with Dalilts caste issues and even don't hesitate to kill if a dalit boy marries if he a lower caste girl .

http://www.thehindu.com/news/nation...-marrying-caste-hindu-girl/article8350431.ece

Here the girls family isn't brahmin but belongs to a lower sudra caste but still very offened to find a dalit boy marrying their daughter .

Caste system was introduced into Tamilnadu by Brahmins using religion to justify division through birth - refer Purusha Sukta, Bhagavad Gita and Manu Dharma etc. Now its time for Tamils to reclaim their identity.

BUT AS THE MALLAS DID NOT ADOPT / SUPPORT BRAHAMANISM they were excommunicted when they lost power to rulers that supported Brahmanism and were gradually made Untouchables over a period of 200 to 300 years. The bulk of this change happened mostly after the 13th Century.

Dravidianism is ethnic , linguistic and regional chauvinism and nothing related to hindu religion .

Some prominent dravidian leaders atheists and communist so they make anti religious statements , but Tamilnadu is 85% hindu and most are extremely religious Hindus.

This is Dravidianism for you

you are missing the point made by the pontiff - Cholas or Pandyas etc never identified themselves as Hindus, in no Tamil religious works is it mention that Tamils were Hindus or followed the Sanatana dharma etc. Thats is what Tamils are working on, to delink themselves from Indians Hinduism

Sankaracharya of Kanchi thanked the British for introducing the ‘Legal Hindu Religion’ and saving the brahmins from becoming minority ‘in the own land’ “Had they [ the British ] not given us the name ” Hindu ” we could have divided ourselves into various religion – like Saivites, Vaishnavites, Sakthas, Muruga Bhakts and as devotees of Ellai Amma – in every town . Is there a common God for Saivites and Vaishnavites? No, Siva is not the God of Vaishnavites; the militant Saivites say that Vishnu is not a God at all, but only a devotee of Lord Shiva. Can anyone consider these two as belonging to a single religion? The British gave a common name – HINDU, and we are saved. The name that they christened saved us.” – Sri Chandrasekarendra Saraswathi, Kanchi Paramacharya, Voice of God ,Volume 1, Page: 266. [Tamil Edn]

This was the man who concocted an identity for his own sect as a Shankaracharya and of his seat as one of the four founded by the original Shankaracharya; a gross fabrication considering the existence in the broad glare of daylight of the Shringeri Math. As an expert in concoctions, he is the right person to precisely identify the British as being the creators of a synthetic religion, the one on which the ignorant RSS is taking a stand.

There was no unified Hindu religion. There were a series of 'Indic' (for lack of a better word) religions, and precisely in Chandrasekar Saraswathi's formulation, these were entirely different religions. The matter has been analysed with care and precision by scholars; it has been demonstrated that the theology of these different streams is clearly and unmistakably different. The paths to salvation are different. The common factor is the Vedas and the Puranas. The philosophical speculation of the Aranyakas and Brahmanas (the books, not the epithet of the One God, not the caste) are also held in common.

There is similarly a family of Semitic religions. It is entertaining to go through their strikingly similar belief systems, their almost identical theogony, and to contemplate their ultimate refinement into monotheistic systems, but three different ones, under the pressure and guidance of different guides.

Not to mention the influence of the first and original monotheistic religion that was not Semitic, but yet molded the Semites through history.

I didn't mention that because it doesn't sit easily in 'families' of religions. Yes, it had a lot of influence on Semitic religions, from the time of Cyrus onwards for sure, and conjecture has it that it might have been earlier.

Our friendly neighborhood biker Doc friend finally cleared for me the mystery of where the sanghi brigade disappeared.

Checked out their new forum.

As puke inducing as ever.

Nice to see.

Cheers, Doc
