Well when India has a day of mourning, what so surprising about Tamilnadu which has a 3000 yrs old relationship with China and a 1000 yr relationship with Singapore.

Except that, the kings and monks who established those relationships with China and Singapore identified themselves as Hindus and did their best to promulgate Sanskrit in these places. So much for Tamil Nadu's relationship. The only relationship Tamils can claim is through the recent immigrants during colonial era when Tamil coolies where shipped to Singapore.
