Will they rename the country name of Afghanistan to " Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan" and choose 15/8/2021 as Independence day ? That has to be the meaning of the flag? Odd to have that flag if not that ? Just curious ..

For those wondering if they will declare 15th as independence day: most likely they won't. They liberated an existing state from an occupation & its puppet regime but they did not separate from a state. "Independence" would have made sense if US had integrated afghanistan as a territory.

Changing the flag only signifies a new government in power.
