This is one comment that I read from this news in Yahoo. The experts kindly comment on this :-

"Two things bother me about this story. One is that the Taliban partisans obviously had a month's notice of an impending attack by the Pakistani army. That brings back memories of missions undertaken by the South Vietnamese army against the Viet Cong. It was frustrating, to say the least, to watch them lob mortar rounds into the jungles before setting out on a search and destroy patrol, giving the VC plenty of advance notice that they were coming. It was more than frustrating to an American unit assigned to engage in a joint mission with the South Vietnamese troops. It certainly made one wonder whether the real enemy was out there in the jungle or walking along with you. Fortunately, it more often led to finding only traces of VC who had fled the area than to ambushes, although encountering hastily rigged booby traps was not uncommon.

The other thing that bothers me is the willingness of reporters to disclose the names of "little" people whose lives may be endangered by the disclosure when, at the same time, they are constantly quoting supposedly "big shot" people speaking from the comfortable safety of buildings in Washington, without disclosing their names, but only as "anonymous" sources "having knowledge of the matter."
