T129 Deliveries To Pakistan Are On Schedule And Their Is No Blockade From US : TAI

what about spreading fake news
.
Let me double your happiness , Russia Just decided 2 Gift 2 squads of SU 35 to Pak and free as well
This is not military aid. We are paying for them. One way or another, they will eventually come. And the source is not some random guy from twitter.
It seems you are not following international media anymore. Recent developments between US and Pakistan are +ve. "Trump writes letter to IK", It was impossible to think of till yesterday, And it happened.

We need to build helicopters in pakistan

Turkey and Pakistan should jointly invest to develop helicopter infrastructure. Turkey has a couple of new helicopter programs proceeding simultaneously and It is underlined that Turkey should receive a few brother states as partner to develop such big scale programs to accelerate the development schedule, and I personally want to see the flag of Pakistan in Rotorcraft programs to be revealed in following years.

Considering the projects postd above, Pakistan has agreed to replace aged Ah-1 Cobras with superior T-129 Atak helicopters after extenve trials. Pakistan Army operates Mi-17 like helicopters which will be replaced with new generation helicopters. Instead of openinga tender to invite helicopter manufacturers all around the World, Joining into such a program from a brother country where Pakistan has already tested the engineering capacity is more benefical for Pakistan Army and industry. Joining into a program require risk-sharing and joint-investment but Helicopters will be shaped in the hands of Pakistani engineers to convert into the configurations of what Pakistan Army required. There is not a program Turkish industry commenced but failed in the end so strategy makers of both state should consider such options instead of opting a ready-package systems.

This is indeed a nice chopper and Pakistan deserves complements for choosing this one over Zunk 10 useless under power chopper. This one can go veey high. This is a worthy competitor of LCH.

Chinese Z20 utility heli is a good one, you face fierce competition.

Well Pakistan/Turkey Defense Collaboration is 10 years too late we should have been doing a Joint development for at least 10 year , I don't understand what are these forces which prevent such cooperation

Example of Lack of Initiative from Pakistan's side

Turkey has a awesome Rifle , and Pakistan army is wasting time with random trials
Turkey has a Engine program for Vehicles , and we are not part of that deal
Turkey has Helicopter Gunship , Transport program we are not involved in that deal
Turkey is already making Corvette class Ships and we are not involved in that deal
Turkey is doing SAM research , and we are not involved in that deal or research
Turkey has a kick *** Altay Tank and we are not involved in that deal

We lack some focus

Pakistani Mindset, (Love of dealing with USA)
  • We would pay 800 million for some thing which takes
  • 2 years of promises and promise it would be easy process
  • 4 years to make
  • 3 years of sanctions like wait
  • 2 years to realize we will not get out item on time
  • We would also need to request permit from Uncle Sam sometimes

Smart Country Approach
  • 4.5 years R&D with friendly country and you spend slightly more at start but then it gets good value for your money after you produce it under licence or serial production
  • If project is slightly delayed 1.5 years no problem you still get dignity and finished product at end

Competition is a good way to see +/- of platforms. Engineering is like an open sea. You can shape the machines in accordance to the limits of your industry so I fully support such fair competitions. Instead of paying the price of engineering defficiency with your soldiers life, I prefer to fail against a machine which is more matured in trials.

@AZADPAKISTAN2009

Good question. Why is our cooperation still so superficial? Why is Pakistan barely involved in Turkish development projects? Is it money? I know that some projects are limited to Nato partners but there are billion dollars worth programs which are available for Pakistan right now; still, no sign of interest from both sides. Why? It makes PERFECT sense to join forces but we are still fighting on our own.

NATO projects aren't open for non-NATO members!!! And, even if an indigenous program has some NATO overlaps it requires extensive security clearances, which aren't easy to obtain....

All ongoing defense projects in Turkey are estimated to be worth 30 to 40 billion USD (varying estimations exist). We're talking about hundreds of projects with many more sub programmes. Pakistan doesn't even participate on an Industrial level which is worrying to me. Don't get me wrong. I'm not just blaming Pakistan, it's our fault too. This has to change.
Let's say Nato is against Pakistani participation. So what? In this case, move the development programme to Pakistan and make it a Pakistani project with Turkish contribution. Where there is a will, there's a way. We have to change.

When is Pakistan expected to actually receive the 30 T129 helos?
