Fatal flaws among Sunni rebel groups:
- extremists who are ruining the reputation of all Sunnis
- extremists who are clueless and are not trying to understand who is enemy and who is friend in the bigger picture
- inhuman war crimes being carried out by Sunni extremists that are actually against Sharia (eating someone's heart etc.)
- committing war crimes against minority non-combatant civilians and POW which are then used as propaganda material by the enemy
Since our enemies are using these weaknesses against us, we need to take away these weapons from the hands of our enemies.
If the extremists would behave themselves and follow the lead of the moderate FSA, I believe by this time the US led West would have taken a more active role, instead because of these "baboons" we have the West taking a position of "let these two groups bleed each other to death". The collateral damage for this Western strategy is of course the innocent civilians, more than 120,000 of whom have already lost their lives.
Please post suggestions on how this can be done:

One idea I had - rebels (FSA and others who are native Syrians) can be promised positions in Police, Border Guard, Army etc. in a future democratic Syria, if they follow rules of engagement and not commit war crimes? In return all rebels must declare that they are fighting for an inclusive democratic Syria. Can Syrian National Council take a decision like this and implement this policy on the ground? Will that make a difference and change the behavior of the "baboons"?
