Well its Muharam time, risk has gone up many fold.

Hope no major damage is done in Muharam.

Yet another Policeman stops carnage to happen.

Salute to these brave men who protect others without thinking about their own lives.

Hi Taimikhan,

I believe that we have not given enough credit to our policemen throughout the country who have stepped up to the plate and beyond the call of duty and sacrificed their lives to save the lives of the civilians. God bless them all.

ISLAMABAD: A suicide bomber blew himself up at the entrance to an imambargah here on Thursday night, leaving a little girl dead and two other people injured, including a policeman.

Private security guard Masood Hussain Shah and head constable Ittefaq averted a major disaster when they forcibly stopped the teenaged bomber from entering the Qasr-i-Sakina Imambargah in Shakrial along the Islamabad Expressway. Almost 500 people, including women and children, were present at the imambargah.

The security guard remained unhurt, but the policeman was injured. Six-year-old Urooj was hit by shrapnel and died, while her father was injured. The explosion took place a few minutes before a procession was due to reach the place.

A police official said the attacker appeared to be 17 years old.

Without any doubt, but police being under the civilian corrupt govt are not getting their due share. Yesterday also was talking to one police ASI and he said we got 20 bomb detecting scanners and all the ministers got them for their own escorts. On duty they don't get any extra money for their lunch or dinner nor any proper winter protective gear, but still their moral is high and working. I have couple of army checkpoints around my area, i see mostly police guys sitting in those checkpoints and army guys sharing their lunch or dinner with policemen as army guys have their own langar system, while police guys don't.

If they are given benefits and good pay, they will work wonders. All they need is little appreciation and some form of benefits to them and their families if they are gone from this world.
