ICK -- Indian Controlled Kashmir


Most if not all of us were born long after 1947. It is not good to drink poison from that era. It is time to break the chains of hate and prejudice.

I think it is the right of Kashmiris to decided whether they want to call it 'Pakistani Occupied Kashmir' or 'Azad Kashmir'. Then, we can follow what they want to call their homeland. The choice is theirs not ours.

Pakistani experts have said,Pakistan has nothing to offer to Kashmir.Pakistan is neck deep trouble.What is Pakistan's forex reseves,GDP,how Pakistan pays its international debts.According to a survey by a British magazine,only 3% of the kashmiris want merger with Pakistan.Indipendence is simply not feasible

I suggest autonomy for both sides of Kashmir. Let there be a joint rule(India Pak) ,joint army,joint administration.I have visited Kashmir way back in 2007.Apart from tourism,there r no factories,industries.Every thing comes from other parts of India. Kashmiri experts have said the same thing but The main threat to Kashmir come religious extremism.The militants whom Pakistan had supported for strategic depth in Kashmir,Afghanistan & else where have turned their guns on Pakistan(TTP).One should not forget even the Kashmir is solved,the militants will not dissapper or vanish in thin air.They r bound to stay with their ideology & guns,just like a tiger who cannot change its stripes

Lastly the Kashmir problem is somewhat similar to the Baloch problem.
