So Islam says that one should not help improve one's country or help unite one's country? Does Islam also say that one should not prevent disunity in one's country?

Just continue what Pakistan is doing to itself now and it will self destruct. In fact it is mostly gone already - it has become a country that is kept by a military. It serves one and only purpose - to keeps its military leaders in the buttered toast.

They don't care if their kids grow up with poisoned brains. They don't care if the whole world calls them a country of crooks. They don't care if all honor is lost . They don't care about their army's main occupation is to bomb their own country. They don't care if a foreign country bombs them with impunity and tells them to like it or else. They don't even care that this same military even supplies coordinates for a foreign power to bomb them when an associate becomes not so friendly!

What else is left to call it a country? It is a sorry excuse of a country .

Embargo : an official ban on trade or other commercial activity with a particular country such as The EU has operated an arms embargo on China since 1989 and this is only limited up to weapons, what difference it has made for china? they have much better weaponry than most of European countries.

Sanctions : a threatened penalty for disobeying a law or rule...for example Following the Iranian Revolution of 1979, the United States imposed sanctions against Iran and expanded them in 1995 to include firms dealing with the Iranian government. again behind the seen Iran strengthened themselves and now Shia govts are extended in Iraq, Syria, Lebanon and they are well in control in Yemen and Bahrain has been stretched as well. you really need to learn about the strategic positioning of Paksitan, poeple think that America will come and simplly do whatever it likes .. world has changed my friend america is a dying power the upcoming is standing right behind paksitan, study east china sea issues and then take a look what is the importance of Pakistan for china and america. whoever has started this thread i really could;t understand the logic to start such topic ??? come up with a scenario without that this is a useless discussion and waste of band width

In a hypothetical scenarion, just calculate how many days Pakistan can survive without single USD being remitted to your country...

At the end of the day economics holds the key...If Pakistan is valuable for US or others with respect to money, nothing will happen..If Pakistan does not add any value in economic sense, US will dump easily and China will exploit you more like they did with Iran...

Put in a place a weak civilian government with another parallel government composed of the Intelligence services and military which is trying to constantly undermine it. Yes external threats make a nation more resilient but prolonged boycotts / isolation can create hostile conditions.

Only if the state does not have competing nationalities. Punishing sanctions ( ala NK ) can have major impact on a country like Pakistan.
