What we are hearing is one side of the story...which is his side. We and you certainly cannot be sure that he was involved in or what acts he committed that brought him such misery.

I mean I'm sure TTP in Pakistan has a side too and I'm sure those suicide bombers who routinely blow themselves up in your public places lap it up like cake. How much sympathy do you have for them?

Agreed, all successive governments failed to provided justice to the victims of 1984 riots but Congress were in charge during the riots and for a long time after the riots. So naturally 90% of fault lies with them and i was just pointing that out. And also there is nothing wrong in highlighting the life story of any individual. If you are talking about 1984 riots- Most of the witnesses have changed statement and don't want to be bothered-

The period between 1988-1993 is well scrutinized and most of the excesses by Police have been brought to justice, Just last year one of the cases was brought to justice It was from UP-

And contrary to the believe that most victims of the insurgency and riots stayed in India- they had little left to migrate and settle in UK, Canada etc- This Khalistan ghost pops-up from time to time due to internal rivalry among Sikhs who are in Canada, UK(mostly merchant class) and Locals in India who control all Gurudwaras(Jutt Sikhs)-

Recent drubbing of NRI Sikh supported party in both Gurudwara elections in Delhi where they got 0, and Punjab State elections where they lost badly after creating a great hype- Show people are fed up with these people-

This individual If he is sincere about his story should contact Indian High commission ASAP and get a proper passport first-

Now that's an important point but are you sure you are asking the right person. I also asked an above mentioned poster a question regarding the disparity in his age which is also quite intriguing. How can a person born in 1970 become a major at the age of 14.

Either @Dhara should produce evidence of his service in the Indian Army, or he should be prohibited from mentioning his rank and service in posts that he makes. (Which he does all the time) This is very likely a case of stolen valor.
Not only is this insulting to the Indian Army, but is also very incorrect from an ethical point of view.

Are you from Punjab? Not very familiar with local politics of Punjab but was always surprised how can any Sikh in Punjab or even Delhi vote for Congress after '84

He says his father-in-law to protect his daughter brainwashed them but it's has been 35 years now. Don't think the lady requires any protection from the Indian state in Canada after 35 years now. Sir Ray C whome many Indian members must be knowing from Indian forum ; late Brig retd Ray C and I used to exchange harsh words during discussion here on the forum but I always respected him and never crossed the line . He died last year which saddened me too much since he used to call me like his daughter rather he used to tell me that i have sharp features just like that of his daughter. He was the only forum member from india whom i called when i landed in Delhi . Wanted to visit him but I did not have visa for Kolkata.

anyway to cut the story short i just want to convey that despite the political differences there is no reason i would put humanity and respect down.
