Sports Shooting/Hunting Gear discussion

What is the approximate capacity of this bag? It sounds like pretty efficient packing, first and foremost. The backpack that I use is 20 liters and plenty for my purposes.
sir I dont have the exact size i would be only guessing. just to clairfy that the bag didnt include the usual water canteen there wont be enough roon for toher stuff. it was a smaller plastic bottle with extra water.
this is the bag I am talking about in Khaki color maybe 20 lts?

What was the soldiers kit in world war 2
re keeping pills for diarrhoea I have a story to share. people used to laugh at the conenets of our kit whenever I told them what I kept. but we knew better.
while travelling along the border with iran we came across a big family that had fallen ill due to a food gotten bad due to the heat of the day. most of them were vomiting and "more". our entire medical portion of the bag was exhausted which gave them much needed first aid relief before they could reach a settlement and further treatment. we practically saved some of them from expiring or getting seriously ill.

no one was laughing then

You should take care of the bag and whatever else you have from that era, it can be worth a lot for its historical value. Get thee a new backpack pronto.

Do you carry one of those new filters for converting any water source into drinkable water such as the LifeStraw?

I think that frame could be used to convert the rucksack into a makeshift chair or cot, or prop it up as a sunshade, if I remember correctly.

Back then I was a Structural Design Engineer for Wind Turbine blade manufacturer. The smaller S&W Knife was to mark fiberglass pultrusions/crfc composites/dirty stuff and loan others, the Kabar folder was for my use. I like folding knifes, I have lost count of how many I own. Nothing superexpensive stuff, but every time I am at Big 5 or cabelas, I pick up a knife.

It used to be in a laptop bag, couple of years ago, these days edc is just in the pocket, Just a flashlight, knife or multi tool, safety glasses. that's it.
Keep a First Aid in both cars, suv and the motorcycle, the little red one fits inside the vstar classic tool storage box. I do have a bug out/hunting bag. Will post when I get a chance.

It is a sad commentary that you guys feel the need to carry such weapons every day, unless you are out in the boonies. :D

I actually once faced a life and death situation and the only thing that saved my *** punching the man with my keys... Since then I don't take chances, I like to be prepared.
