Spilling the beans: ‘PTI lawmakers will tell NA speaker resignations were forced’
By Umer Farooq
Published: September 22, 2014

PESHAWAR: Disgruntled members of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) will prove before the speaker of the National Assembly that their resignations were forced, revealed an MNA from the party.

The lawmaker, requesting anonymity, told The Express Tribune National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq asked PTI lawmakers to appear before him on Tuesday and verify signatures on their resignation letters.

“Things will be made clear as MNAs will meet the speaker one on one.” While a majority of the party MNAs submitted their resignations, some, including Gulzar Khan, Musarrat Ahmedzeb and Nasir Khattak, refused to do the same.

PTI leaders demand intra-party polls

A founding member of PTI, Akbar Babar said Imran Khan needs to take a look at the recent intra-party polls instead of demanding transparent elections in the country. He said the party elections were “nothing more than a farce”. He told The Express Tribune party tickets were sold just like fish in a market.

Some founding members met with disgruntled party lawmakers to discuss the ongoing situation. Babar said the meeting will discuss ways to release the party from the clutches of those who “hijacked it”. “It has become a one-man show and the party constitution does not allow that.”

Akbar Babar who left IK for many years ago.... Seen his Facebook postshe has been anti IK for many years. Don't think I will believe him.

Thison going dharma will clean Pti from politician's who are there for own cause.

I mean come on boys, a jobless youth suddenly getting 90,000 a month will let it go easily!
even if we dont consider the fun and mujras in parliament houses

And then Imran Khan and his fanboi going to say: 'Good, rotten eggs exposed!'. Problem is the replacement are likely to be not much better...

this is a good development , voices from the mature members of PTI needs to come out , against the irrational position that IK has been taking lately

Yes, PTI has some very smart and 'clean' people but nothing matters in front of the lifelong-bully called Imran Khan: He is like a poison-tree with branches thick and far out which prevents growth of anything beneath him. There becomes an intellectual-desert under him.
Maybe there can be a PTI(H) under Javed Hashmi :)

They have time till tomorrow otherwise all resignation will be accepted.

totally agree, the way IK has been spurring allegations left, right & center @ any & everybody, who does not agrees, to his grandiose notion of statecraft in the form of continuous agitations, especially @ a time when the country is faced with enormous challenges in the form of IDP'S,Floods & a damaged economy (thanks to the capital being converted in to a virtual circus by IK), gives me shiver instead of hope, the amount of manipulation of the new generation 's hopes & aspirations that has taken place @ the hands of IK & his backers ,History will judge it , as nothing less then a criminally orchestrated tragedy of its time

member of other party...bad people, when they join PTI...good people
I think that is what Imran's plan is, to make every Pakistani join PTI this way we will not have any bad people left in the country.

ik and sheikh rasheed, greatest entertainers. sheedatulli chaprasi.pti lawmakers on the same way...

No, PTI is revolutionary for the braves, not for those who run away from dharnas.

Totally disagree. Instead of countering the allegations of IK, all that opposition forces are doing is taking Javed Hashmi's allegations seriously. They got the mole they wanted by bribing him with 20 crores while he was sick in hospital.

LOL.

Of course they were forced, it was a party demand. If even one PTI MNA declined to resign, it would be humilitating for PTI, because it would signal a political split within the party.

It seems that may already been happening. It's not unreasonable to assume at this point that there may be a break away faction from PTI soon, on the other hand, IK is a charismatic leader, so he may be able to keep the party together.
