Well, I'm just glad economy is driving relationship these days, less cold war mentality. But social etiquette & cultural sensitivity is something our countrymen need to work on too. However, given the historical up & down our part of the world went thru', its inevitable some people will still make noise.
Our Chinese brothers are always welcome here in The Philippinese and Southeast Asia.
Exactly, our countrymen should seriously work on social etiquette & cultural sensitivity. Jeju is just an example, when we see signals like Thai temples banning Chinese tourists, some hi-end hotels refuse to take China tour groups, etiquette warning signs written only in simplified Chinese characters outside Louvre Palace, and many others, we should find reasons within ourselves rather than pointing fingers at other people.
It got nothing to do with big words like Cold War or Economic power, just simple people to people interaction. Respecting others, and gain their respect.
Ancient China was Nation of Etiquette (礼仪之邦), let's this heritage continue to prosper.
Maraming salamat ! (Excuse me for my poor Tagalog)
Have had a wonderful holiday in Cebu once, and love the food in Manila (but the traffic jam in Makati was killing me)!
Yeah, i have seen those myself too.Yah, even in Singapore I see some unpleasant things done by our countrymen, so I can understand how the Koreans feel, but new arrivals' attitude has gotten better through the years so there's hope, lol.

You were in Cebu, buddy?
Yup, once, at Shangri-la resort, soooo good, must try
Hahaha, big balling! The last time i was there i stayed at the Crown Regency for a week. Ever been to the Daoist Temple?
PS. Cebu has a lot of Huaren there, lots of good friends i have there are Chinese-Filipinos.
Daoist Temple? I might have missed that.
Was too focused on swimming, spa and playing! ...
Yes! Whenever i stop by Cebu i always make my way here, plus you get a beautiful view of the island as the temple is located on top of a mountain.

I heard of China blacklisting poor behavior. Is any step taken to educate tourist? This kind of stuff should be ingrain starting from childhood.Exactly, our countrymen should seriously work on social etiquette & cultural sensitivity.
