Sony CEO on Middle East: Let Them All Kill Each Other (Except Israel)

.
He should have told that to his family members only...at the dinner table!!

. .
Yes but Jews are united/advanced, while Muslims its true are many but divided and busy killing each other in the name of their own religion while the world looks on and shake their heads in disbelieve. So what he said is true its offensive, but it should indeed make Muslims in the middle east introspect what went wrong.

No numbers are isn't always everything. They count little in making people united/ advanced and developed/Forward looking. If numbers really counted as you said, then the U.S/west wouldn't be ruling the world in the first place, China,India would.:)

Yes but thats because they are few

Times change and they change quickly, great empires crumble and small nations rise into great empires

The muslim world has too many resources, land and people to remain weak forever and it will rise as a historic inevitability

The amount of hatred the jews are creating will burn them hard in the future and soon

It has traditionally been white christians who slaughtered them from pogroms across Europe from Russia to England to the Holocaust in Germany, their time in the muslim world has comparitivly been a walk in the park

Yet their injustice towards the Palestinians have made them despised

Slowly the muslim world will indeed rise the jews are simply pissing against the wind

A palestinian having a bad feeling for jews i can understand but the rest of muslims balming jews and hating them is beyond me.

Do you think Sony should force this guy to resign right away?

Why a foreigner at the head of Sony, to begin with? Was not it Sony that conspired against the DPRK in that cyber-attack false-flag?

Sony CEO on Middle East: Let Them All Kill Each Other (Except Israel)

00:14 21.04.2015

The CEO of Sony called the Middle East a "gigantic mess," and said if it was not for Israel's presence in the region, the United States would "let them all kill each other," according to emails published by WikiLeaks.

The secrets-spilling group last week republished hundreds of thousands of documents and emails from the hack last fall of Sony Pictures Entertainment. The massive collection includes emails CEO Michael Lynton wrote in response to an October 2014 Washington Post article about President Barack Obama's foreign policy in Syria. A relative forwarded Lynton the article with the comment "Brilliant."

"Let them all kill each other!" Lynton wrote in a response email.

"Face it the entire thing is a gigantic mess. And if it were not for Israel, we would let them all kill each other and wait for the dust to settle."

"We don’t need the oil, and I am not sure it is worth the time or effort to try and broker the nations at the edge. It is a dog’s breakfast plain and simple and I am not sure there is any role for America here."

"On reflection," Lynton added, "Israel may be in the catbird seat. Let them all kill each other around the Jewish state and pick up the pieces after they have exhausted themselves."

Lynton's emails also show his active participation in both social and professional events centered on pro-Israel policy.

In August, 2013, he RSVP’d yes to "an intimate salon-style discussion" at the home of Israeli-born American actress Natalie Portman regarding the Israeli conflict. The event was hosted by Jeremy Ben-Ami, the president of J Street, a pro-Israel political group based in the United States.

The next day, Portman sent Lynton an email with links to websites that contain "accurate Israel and world Jewry journalism."

Just a few months later, in February, 2014, Lynton RSVP'd yes to an "intimate dinner" at the home of Israeli producer Arnon Milchan, where Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was among the guests.

Lynton also leveraged his connections to exercise political influence and promote his pro-Israel beliefs.

In June 2014, Lynton and Richard Stengel, the State Department Under Secretary for Public Diplomacy and Public Affairs, discussed a joint Washington-Hollywood venture that had come from "the secretary’s office," according to leaked emails.

While the two were discussing actors who may take part in the event – including Ben Affleck, Shonda Rhimes, and others – Lynton noted that he "would also include Natalie Portman as she has just done a movie in Israel and is very involved there."

Lynton and Stengel frequently emailed about planning phone chats and meeting up. They were scheduled to meet in person at least once, on December 14, 2014, according to an email from Lynton's assistant.

Stengel floated to Lynton, who also oversees Sony's music labels, the idea of staging a type of "We Are The World" concert as an anti-Islamic State message. He suggested using hip-hop stars and Muslim artists from around the world.

Michael Jackson and Lionel Richie wrote "We Are The World" and organized a celeb-filled recording session to raise money for Africa relief in 1985.

Hmmm an Israeli sympathizer or a Jew himself?

.
Arab investors should pressure Sony to fire Michael Lynton and Sony should focus on being innovative and try to recover as a company, rather than getting involved in geopolitics.

Sony Leaks: How to Get Your Kid Into the Ivy League

Emails stolen in last fall’s hack of Sony that are now searchable on WikiLeaks have revealed a lot, including Hollywood’s influence over the admissions practices of America’s prestigious Ivy League schools.

Among the tens of thousands of pieces of data stolen were the emails of Michael Lynton, Sony CEO and a Harvard graduate.

In 2013, Lynton’s daughter was torn between applying to Brown or Harvard, her father’s alma mater. In September of that year, Lynton reached out to Brown about establishing a scholarship for a full-need student.

An employee in Brown's development office emailed back quickly:

“I was pleased to receive your phone call and to learn that you are still interested in establishing a scholarship for a full-need student in memory of your friend Nathaniel Chapman ‘79. This would be an enduring memorial to him and to your friendship.”

The fund would be named in the memory of Nathaniel Sheldon, a friend of Lynton’s who “was recruited by the CIA in 1980 to fight the Soviets,” as he explained in an email to Tom Rothman, Chairman of TriStar Productions, a Brown alum and member of its board of trustees, Gawker reported.

A month later, an employee from the school's development office offered Lynton a meeting with Brown’s president during his visit to the campus with his daughter.

A few more messages followed to Lynton from university reps, including the president, who said “we will certainly look at [Lynton’s daughter’s] application very closely.” Soon after, she was accepted into the Brown class of 2019.

In a 2014 email to his sister, Lynton wrote: “David… called me. he is obsessed with getting his eldest in Harvard next year.”

She replied: “If David wants to get his daughter in he should obviously start giving money.”

Lynton’s sister also floated the idea of “David” meeting Roger Cheever, the Associate Vice President for Principal Gifts at Harvard.

Another set of emails show that actor Matt Damon reached out to Harvard President Drew Faust in November 2013 to recommend the son of “Ocean’s Thirteen” screenwriter Brian Koppelman for admission.

Koppelman’s son is currently a Harvard student and writer for its school newspaper, the Crimson.
