What's new

Song that made trending meme's in India and #1 trending becomes controversial because of the lyrics.

If you are Muslim then you must know the difference between songs and Nasheed, even then if you are still arguing then i feel sorry for you. As a Muslim and belong from noble muslim family i can say that it is wrong and against Islam and no one can deny my claim about it and here is my proof (https://www.muftisays.com/blog/abu+mohammed/362_25-06-2010/40-hadith-on-music.html) to justify my claim. If you have any thing against other then your mind then share it.
So, you are telling me music is haram. Can you tell me where in holy Quran, Hazrat Muhammed (saw) called it haram and prohibited singing? I stress holy Quran is perfect. So, don't quote me Hadits and surah written years after prophet (saw) on this particular matter and use it to convenience while you enjoy these kinds of qawwalis.

And I don't want to brag about nobleness. Because the titles, family lineage or even beauty of qabr doesn't matter to the almighty. That's why Kerala Muslims are humble, tolerant, may be because we've been practicing before anyone in South Asia.

I have read all that. It's a hadith. I asked you to prove it's haram as per holy Quran. Not based on hadiths.

Secondly, if Music is haram, why 99% of the Muslims in the world listen to it at least once. Some sing and dance too. Yet, somehow this song is at fault. The lines have made a lot of people to look it up and understand what is meant by the lyrics and many might have read about our prophet (saw) and Khadeeja (saw). I don't find anything wrong in this. As I have mentioned, for those who find this song haram can move on to next halal stuff on youtube.

I know many Kerala Muslim and i know how things works. I found almost 95% in my previous company in Oman who used Liqueurs and they offered me many time with same argument currently you are doing with showing references. Read my previous post and find hadith there about Music and here is one Quranic reference with proven hadith about Quranic explanation for your easy reference

The Noble Qur'an - Luqman 31:6

And of mankind is he who purchases idle talks (i.e. music, singing, etc.) to mislead (men) from the Path of Allah without knowledge, and takes it (the Path of Allah, the Verses of the Qur'an) by way of mockery. For such there will be a humiliating torment (in the Hell-Fire).

Hadith - Bukhari (#787) [Also related by Tabari]

Ibn Masood (ra) said about this verse "I swear by the One other than Whom there is no God that it refers to singing [ghinaa].", and he repeated this three times. Ibn Abbaas (ra) said it refered to 'singing and the like' while Jaabir (ra) is reported to view its meaning to signify singing and listening to songs. Many taabi'oon such as Mujaahid, Ikrimah, Mak-hool and Umar ibn Shu'ayb viewed it as a censure of music and song.

Sa'id ibn Jbayr reported that Ibn 'Abbas said about the verse: "And of mankind is he who purchases idle talks" (31:6), that, "ldle talks means singing and the like."

Wise words.

But, I don't agree with what you are trying to say, let's leave it at that.
And if Music is haram, let's ban that all. I'm all up for that. Let us stop listening to them and stop singing or hum.
As long as that doesn't happen I think we can stick to status quo.

Brother when i did research on that i deleted all my song and since very long time (may be six months or more) i am not listening any thing. To me words of Allah and Rasool Allah is more important then anything and because of that i received the greatest gift in the earth then anything else.

What happened? Did you hear Pakistan winning the world cup?

Did I hear that from a guy who comes from the land of Dargahs?

Then don't listen to halal music on Feb 14th. They didn't exactly say she "fall in love at first sight" with the prophet (saw). That is a loose translation of the Malayalam lyrics.
What is wrong to have a friendship with boys? And they can't interact or talk, fine, you put a curtain in the class of every school to separate boys from girls. And we'll continue. See who progress better.
Song is not telling anyone anything, it's depicting an old folk song, which has been playing in weddings all over Muslim wedding for decades. Only that, they made a modern version of the already existing song.

There are just as many Dargahs in Hindustan, so that point means nothing. Also, I don't believe shrines are halal myself and don't visit them. I don't even view music as halal.

Music is Haram.

Back off! if don't have any knowledge about Islam then it is better for you to keep your mouth shut. Also proof your statement according to Quran or Hadith about halal music if your are capable enough and i am challenging you and if you have a gut to proof your statement.
