The best they have in VT-4 is still uncooled, and touches 8-12M at best, which barely makes it second generation.

Uncooled thermal imagers will not last a day in Tamewala, Cholistan region. Thats what happened to the first trial as well.

Even a so called modern Leopard 2 tank steering is so primitive compare to VT-4. Not to mention other inferior tanks. Digital automatic transmission eliminate the previous difficult handling and steering a tank and make anybody who knows how to drive an automatic car, knows how to drive VT-4. This is not possible for Leopard, Abram M1A2, Al Khalid and Oplot-M.

Oplot-P with Atlay subsystem will be on par or better then Type-99 so how VT-4 is comparable to it??

The problem is ToT, while Chinese are quite happy to share with us the technology as they did in case of Alkhalid, Ukrainians are not at ease with this. Still, PA has asked them for a serious bargain this time around. They know PA does not mess around. They just handed over the engines for AK-1 almost 15 days prior to the contract deadline which is a sign that they are damn serious to fulfill the contract.

You can claim its only T-72 but so as the Chinese with a mediocre Type 96 tank. This is not Type 99. You can imagine, we Chinese got even better stuff behind us.

China can't make a Type-26 quality hull even now, that is reality, just making large ship hulls don't make them modern and advance, Oplot-P is in class of Type-99 and VT-4 is just upgrade over MBT-2000 which was low quality export version which Oplot is certainly not, with High end Western systems it will be more capable then any Chinese Tank currently in service.

Good thing is that people who are in control in China are very sensible people and they don't boost things like you, they tell truth about their stuff to Pakistan and we both work to make it better when it comes to Pakistan oriented products.

There is only one solution for PA , design its own tank according to its regional requirement. Unfortunately , all tank manufacturer live in cold zone and there machine according to there regional requirements.
We have dried mountain to muddy marshy plains. Specification from from Afghan border to Indian border , a area like Rann of Kutch with intense hot an open battle ground.
