Slums beat Taj Mahal as India's most popular tourist draw

Public pooping attracting western tourists ...
What kind of minded people they are? Rather they should help the poor instead of gawking over pooping children.

Honestly the more such help is given the less efficient the already inefficient govt will become.i would rather ambani spend his nillions in the next disruptor like a Jio and create 10000s of quality jobs. The govt will only be too happy to let him do that and pocket what they have to.
Secondly - it's just media speak on Ambanis billion dollar home. It's not just a home, it also doubles up as convention centres, place to receive clients etc. Allnin all a home office where he doesn't have to spend other things. So it just catches eyeballs if you day he has a billion dollar home but the reality is something else.
GOI did not do it in 70's years and they won't their preferences are messed up. they rather spend money on building tallest but most useless and ugly statues instead of fulfilling their duty of taking care of the poor.

Indian slums are endangered ecological system fast vanishing ..Smart tourists preference here..

Hats off to those people who lives in such an underprivileged condition yet produces lots of goods and moves ahead on the way of the creativity and positivity. Imaging a similar inhabitation somewhere else .it would have been a hub of crime murder smuggling at cetera. It is culture and value system of India which drives them to prosperity and morality in such odd conditions. I remember a particular incident when Opera had visited this slum. she was impressed to see the people with lots of positivity dream of becoming great in this odd condition. she was overwhelmed to see all this. So Ali people with some sensitivity and curiosity will be attracted to search places and Idiots and narrow minded people will find fault with it.

Hindutva scores a massive success. Taj Mahal was built by Muslims......no need for tourists to go there.

Most educated travelers are more interested in experiencing the crude realities rather than the fake glitter.
Many travellers always like to experience local atmosphere. That is true. Perhaps when I next visit LA, I must tour Skid row. Spent a night with the homeless.
