The article shows the positive effects of the ban in Maharasthra.
Since the cost benefit ratio of the cow has gone down, Exploitation of this animals will also go down.
This in turn will drive the prices down and encourage more responsible behavior from the society. Since the primary earnings will now be from milk, cattle feed and nutrition will improve to encourage more milk production and productivity.
There are plenty of shelters for cows in India where they are taken care of in their old age. ......... farmers will not take this moral and ethical step than degenerate into murderous profiteering. Society can only benefit from this act of high morality and value for life.
