He is wrong in the context that a single minority group and one that consists of just 7% of the population is responsible for regime change.. This is the problem with self appointed experts, Especially those from TN who cant seem to avoid putting their dirty fingers on other peoples business.. What he fails to mention is that Rajapaksa actually increased his votes in numbers in Jaffna and Vanni.. Just that a much bigger percentage of people voted for his opponent, Though not that it mattered a lot in the larger scheme of things

LTTE restricted vote for Tamils in 2005 elections fully knowing that it will make SLFP win. Does it mean Mahinda came to power with the help of LTTE? How did that work out for you?

In this election there was no reason to vote MR but the people in rural areas have this attitude of over appreciating politicians for what they have done.

MIA has already realised that this government won't make any difference to your dream. About time that you should move on too.
