SINGAPORE: Boeing closes in on Indian Apache, Chinook deals

So is there any possibility of India making a bigger deal of 100++ Apaches and 60++ Chinooks.
Not sure of the operational requirements, but such a large inventory will be prohibitively expensive to own and maintain. Besides, Rudra should fill in role at a much lower cost. So while we can hope to have a follow on order at some stage, the numbers will still be in region of 40-50 for APACHE at the best

Just like the case of 8 P-8Is they have ordered 8 of them then confirmed that they are getting 12 of them and will opt for a total of 30 P-8Is.

Yes... There are many example ...Su 30, T 90, Dhruv, Mi-17 V5... Etc.... If IAF, IA or IN is finding is useful and handy ...They will procure more for sure...Like IAF wanted to go for more mirage 2000-5 ...as they found it pretty handy in kargil war...But unfortunately production was stopped....Due to that MMRCA natak came up...and it is still on.

But still High Chances of IAF going for 200++ Rafaels and other Western Stuff in big quantity.

advance equipments, very good, is it going to be used on the Chinese border or the Pakistan border or just somewhere in land in India.

American helicopters is just flat out better than Russian ones.
thats why americans are buying russian helicopters for afghans in central asia

With all due respect that is cause Americans do not want to give Afghan high end tech. Considering which helicopters are best at this time AH 64 is best in its class, MI28 is also a good bird but IMO its not upto the mark as AH 64.

All the Russian tech they buying for the Aghans is are a few aged Mi-8/17s because they are rugged, cheap to fly and easy to maintain. It's not like they are replacing the US Army's UH-60s with Mi-17V5s!

No they they wouldn't. Don't delude yourself mate. There are certain Russian products that can match the American products and certain advantages some Russian products have over their American counterparts, but this isn't a certainty nor the general rule.
