This may have existed forever, it is only that it got the chance to vent our for the first time ....... many indians may have been fooled under a false slogan ...... but we on the other side knew what results of your last election mean. And the way I look at it, it would be indians starting Ghazwa e hind rather than Pakistanis.

The Hindus have a point. To a point.

They feel that every major world religion has an ancestral land of its own. So why should Hindus be cheated of their own?

Why should people have a problem with first accepting and then calling India a Hindu Rashtra?

Why should their sensibilities not be respected in their own land?

These are all very relevant and pertinent gripes they have.

Any other religion, were it to have been under attack for a thousand years, with a very fundamental clash of ideologies, as between Islam/Christianity and Hinduism (Sanatan Dharma), dividing its own people, brother on brother, would probably have had a much bloodier history and present.

Look at what happened to Persia. The Hindus have a point when they say (rhetorically, exaggerated as it most obviously is, with a billion strong population!!!) that they have learned a lesson from Persia and would need to fight back if one day in the not too distant future they would not need to leave their ancestral land to preserve their faith and way of life as refugees on ships landing on someone else's foreign land.

I get all of that.

But there is a fundamental problem.

Our "muslay" are not what the Arabs were to the Persians.

They are our own blood.

Can we escape from that? How?

What you don't get told is Arab Muslims of that time succeeded because they were accommodating, you may disagree but history has distorted many things .......... Zimmi (the one who entrusts you with his safety and security) is pronounced dhimmi and see what people think of it. There have been cases in history when Muslim Armies made a retreat from an area they paid back the amount and gave the residents an advance notice that they are on their own now ............. coming to indians they have sufficient land available to them, be after 1000s of years but they occupy a large chunk on this land .......... so the point that we need a land of our own sounds BS to me, you have your own land, your own system .......... you even get away with worst of the human rights violations but still whine like an aggrieved party ...... come on I mean the world may be blind but we know a lot about each other. So what needs to change? May be a new sutra or two need to be invented and things may go from being bad to good?

They see Pakistan as a Muslim nation (which it is). And feel aggrieved that they got cheated with having to share it (their own) with another 200 million Muslims as "secular" equals.

That is the crux of this radicalization. Which has been adroitly orchestrated and manipulated by the Sangh and being institutionalized and implemented by their political arm, the BJP.

Make no mistake, this goes all the way back to way before Partition. Partition was a botched up affair. And the Sangh was there then, and it is there now.

This is not something new.

The sanghis believe that there is no place in India for Muslims once Partition happened.

Save for the inconvenient fact that Pakistan never got enough land to sustain an additional 200 million Muslims. Who stayed on as Indians.

Now the Sangh knows it is not going to wish away 200 million Indians magically overnight.

Neither are they going to magically all revert to being Hindus overnight.

The guys calling the shots know very well the Muslims of India are not going anywhere. But they are being used to radicalize and consolidate the Hindu vote.

Much as how Pakistan was birthed. Just now it is Hindus and their Dharam that is in khatra. Ironic no?

One thing I can say with surety ....... they are not going to win any war fought on religious grounds, the day they get exposed completely ..... the sh*t hits the fan for them.

And instead of ghar wapsi type schemes, they should really be looking at inventing a couple of new sutras that should relax their hyper love shown for cows etc and focus more on accommodating step brothers. After all they are ones who proudly claim on forum that Hinduism is not stagnant, it's a way of life, even an atheist can a Hindu etc etc so why Hinduism fails to adopt to these changes?
