Since 2000s IAF has lost 30 4th gen fighters compared to PAF 3

Kid, You are free to use 2000 as bench mark but I will continue using 1986 as it is the year from which both side started using 4th gen hence it is the real benchmark

Your “real comparison” is seriously flawed because Pakistan did not induct all 85 F16s at the same time - ditto for Indian Su30s.

the only meaningful comparison is accidents per flight hour.

Despite sanctions on Pakistan in 1990s PAF managed to clock 270+ hours per F-16 from 1994 to 2005. This has significantly increased knowing PAF has sufficient spare parts supply after new F-16 deal.

Pakistani F-16s reach 100,000 accident free flight hours

October 4, 2005 (by Asif Shamim) - A three-member delegation of Pratt & Whitney called on Air Chief Marshal Kaleem Saadat, Chief of the Air Staff Pakistan Air Force at Air Headquarters to present a plaque to the Chief of the Air Staff in recognition of flying the F-16, for over 100,000 accident-free flight hours.

Lloyd W. "Fig" Newton, executive vice president, presented a plaque to the Chief of the Air Staff in recognition of flying the F-16, for over 100,000 accident-free flight hours.

They also commended the maintenance, quality control and flight safety standards of the PAF, which made this achievement possible.

Retired Gen. Lloyd Newton, along with Gen. (R) William J Begert, Vice President and Warren Boley, Vice President, remained with Air Chief Marshal Kaleem Sadaat, Chief of Air Staff for some time and discussed matters pertaining to mutual and professional interest.

For 30 years in service would be 200 hours per year
or 40 years of service would be just 150.

A Su-30MKI is overhauled after flying 1,500 hours or 14 years, whichever is earlier. Over its total service life of 6,000 flying hours or 30-40 years, each fighter undergoes three overhauls. Eventually, the IAF's fleet of 272 Su-30MKIs will undergo 816 overhauls - three per fighter.

I am including Su-30 and LCA for IAF crash rate between 1986-2020 just like I am including JFT, BLK52, Jordanian ADFs and 14 ex USAF planes for PAF crash rate 1986-20 so that we can get a proper holistic view.

No surprise the serviceability of the Su 30's is terrible - I remember the IAF crew were busy mopping up leaking hydraulic fluids from the Su30 MKIs for the entirety of their visit to the US some years ago.

Last year when F-16C/D of RSAF reached Kalaikunda, they had fat higher downtime and 12hr breakdown rates than Su-30MKI.

No wonder USAF which has the best maintained F-16 fleet has a availability rate of only 72%.

USAF is in process of phasing out its F-16s and in fact some European countries have either phased out F-16s or in process of completing meaning their availability rate is under 40%.

If Su-30 flying hours per year was 150 then its not any achievement considering PAF F-16 twice as much hours clocked during sanction era.

Russia does not have flight safety awards for any category.
Su-30 MKI achieving 100,000 flight hours was confirmed by IAF DCAS on 03.04.2009.

150 hours per year per aircraft is not a big deal for you?
Nope.
Su-30 achieved over 200 per year even with lower availabilty rate.
If it had 70% availabilty rate it would achieved 250 hrs

Wrong USAF has not phased out any F-16 active duty unit in FY18 when F-16 availabilty was 72%.

It's not just a question of flying 100000 hours but incident free to reach that goal....besides F-16 is a single engine, one mishap and no recovery and how many times the SU-30s had an engine failure and had to return to base.

Last IAF MiG-29 crash was 6.5 yrs back.
