SRINAGAR - The members of Sikh community staged a demonstration at the Press Enclave in Indian-held Kashmir on Saturday to protest against the desecration of their religious book at Kotakpur in Indian Punjab some days back.
The protesters raised pro-Khalistan and anti-Bharatiya Janata Party slogans and burnt an effigy of Indian Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal, a TV channel reported. It is to mention here that two Sikhs were killed in police firing at Behbal Kalan village in Faridkot, Punjab, during the protests against the desecration of the Guru Granth Sahib.
