Sikh man thrown out of Wimbledon queue for ‘making others uncomfortable’

Can't believe this happened in London - the most tolerant city in the world by far! Have lived here for so long (in a majority white area) and have never felt un welcomed. This is an isolated incident and I hope this never happens again and I also hope this does not damage this great city's reputation!

I agree with Waz

Generally the british are a truly welcoming anjd tolerant society than 99% of the world.

If your a muslim or Sikh or Black and you want to see true racism then I suggest you try

Russia
Croatia
Serbia
Austrllia
USA

Then you will see what is on the whole a civllised tolerant society like UK and BRITS and what is down right open racial hatred in these countries

Have you ever actually been in Serbia? We have local muslim population of some 230 000 people here, and they are living in Serbia without any problems. Most of people here don't give a shit what you believe in. Yes we were in war with muslims from Bosnia and Kosovo in 90's, but that was not about religion. There is more and more tourists from muslim countries every year in Serbia. For example we started having large tours from Iran.

And when we were overrun by immigrants (2014, 2015..), those refugees described Serbia as a country that provided the warmest welcome on their route. They were provided with food, water, healthcare, places to stay and rest.... Every day you could see people coming to give them food, clothes.... And 90% of those people were muslims or black, or both.

And since 2010/2011 trough project "World in Serbia" more that 200 students from Africa and Asia got the government scholarship and went on our universities. The best foreign students in Serbia are from Pakistan and Syria. Again most of them are muslim or black, or both and they never had any kind of problems here. Also every year on our military academy we have bunch of people from Algeria, Angola.....

I won't say that there is no racism in Serbia, but giving us as a example country if someone wants to find out what real racism is, is just bullshit. In most cases racism in Serbia can only be found on football fields among hooligans.

American Charles Carter decided to stay and live in Serbia, after a visit, and he often shares his thoughts about Serbs and Serbia:

Thanks to western media during 90's Serbia got a terrible reputation and most of that reputation is completely undeserved. We are certainly not a perfect country, or a perfect people, but most of people here don't give a **** about your skin color or religion.
