What's new

Sidhu stirs new controversy, prefers Pakistan over South India

. . . .
You may consider him whatever you want but he was declared the most incorruptible politician of the subcontinent by none other than Ambedkar

"Muslims will perhaps never get such an honest leader." [Lord MountBatten]

"Jinnah is incorruptible and brave" [Gandhi; Interview with Louis Fischer]
If you have read amedkar, you will realize he has said a lot about things , sometimes contradictory, about different people. You should read some of his quotes on muslims, Gandhi. He was a shrewd political fellow who praised when necessarily quite like our politicians now.

. .
Quite the contrary, Muslim League was formed in reaction to Partition of Bengal.
It however was an elitist party until 1937 elections.
But that is besides the point.

ML embraced the TWO NATION THEORY in late 1930's only ... So your assertions are baseless

Yeah, Repeating a LIE does not make it into the truth.

THIS is the reality and what actually happend,

1. Lord Curzon declared his plan to partition Bengal along religious lines in 1905. It was called the Curzon Plan.

2. Partition took place in October 1905

3. CONgress party opposed it and started a mass agitation. Hindus opposed it and has mass protest.

4. Nawabs of Bengal under the encouragement of British started the Muslim League in 1906 and supported the partition of Bengal.

5. Muslim League participate in elections while CONgress BOYCOTT the elections resulting in massive victory for muslim league and they for the govt.

6. Congress organize massive protest and finally in 1911 the partition is rescinded and bengal again become one and capital shift from Calcutta to Delhi.

7. In 1908 Muslim League demanding a separate electorate for the Muslim in all of India.

8. As usual, the british conceded to this "request" of Muslim League by their Morley-Minto Reform 1909 and create separate electorate for muslims.

9. Jinnah join Muslim League in 1913 and become its president in 1916.

10. Congress forced to agree to separate muslim electorate in 1916 as per the Lucknow pact which Jinnah advocated. The Congress also agreed to the idea of one-third seats for the Muslims in the Councils despite the fact that the Muslim population represented less than a third.

11. ...... rest is history.

I just hope he don't die under mysterious circumstances in his house .

Sidhu supports legalization of drugs.

Hope India can get some stuff from Afghanistan to India via Pakistan. Win Win for all parties.:D

Great. Then shut the **** up.

So you too hate South Indians like Sidhu. See you both have something in common.:D

. .
No Jinnah was already leading IML by then but he continued to remain as part Congress too. He wanted to merge IML & Congress under one umbrella and lead the united party but Gandhi & Nehru did not agree to demands for reservations for Muslims. This led to the failure of the talks. Gandhi was made the leader of congress in 1920. Jinnah resigned from the Congress and started fighting for Pakistan under IML instead of fighting for the independence of India from the British.

Rubbish.

Jinnah was head of the Muslim League by 1916 and after that he had a TIE UP with the congress known as the "Lucknow Pact" where he insisted that there be separate electorate for muslims and one-third seats for the Muslims in the Councils despite the fact that the Muslim population represented less than a third.

.
Well, he is known as Father of Indian Constitution. Are you trying to say that your constitution was given to you by a British Stooge ?? :disagree:

Yes. Ambedkar was the ace card and Constitution of India was the parting shot of the British.:agree:

Wrong on many accounts. But that is another debate

You had (repeatedly) claimed that "Muslim League was founded in 1906 with the expressed ideology of Two Nation Theory." ... And you have been proven wrong

Jinnah was incorruptible and brave. So what ? Is that the only values worth having in a human being ?

Hitler was incorruptible and brave too.

That should tell you the true worth of those values.

I am accurate on every count.

And my point that Muslim League was founded to support partition along religious lines has been proven too. Worse, it was a creation of the british and by british stooges.

They never fought for freedom, only for power.

.
I don't care what he supports, I just don't want him to end up like Om Puri ..

I am worried ISI would make a martyr of him to bring down the Captain Amarinder Singh's government.

You said exactly what I said except for the word Rubbish. :enjoy:
