NK is believed to have 10-15 atomic weapons, but isn't believed to have the means to hit the U.S homeland with one (yet) but you have them constantly threatening us with nuclear war. In my eyes that's cause for Casus belli to hit them first before they get the means to hit us.


a preemptive nuclear strike or decapitation strike seems the logical choice, since this whole mess is going to end ugly no matter what.

I don't think they have the reliable ICBM technology. And when America wanna attack someone, they can always find some good excuse.

China back in the 1980s got the 12000-15000km DF-5 that carried a single 4-5mt thermonuclear warhead.

The NK right now is far away from this level, and how they can threaten the US by real?

It is true that the NK is generally lousy with big mouth, but all they can do is chest thumping, and they are no real threat to the US.

The real threat like China and Russia are simply too strong to be taken by the military, so the NK is becoming an excuse to further justify the US military presence in East Asia.

They won't listen. They even execute anyone there who might want to listen to us, like his own uncle.

So now the America wants us to cut off North Korea's food and electricity supply.

Sorry, no. That would lead to an enormous refugee crisis on our borders. Not to mention Seoul getting wiped off the map if NK collapses. I.e. South Korea getting wiped off the map.
