Should the Pakistan Air Force Look at adding an OTH-R to improve Early Detection?

While this technology is not new; The use of smaller yet more powerful Computers can help clear up the clutter to generate long range tracks. Fuzed with the current air picture through long range radars; this could be a game changer. Considering the radar has to be placed at least a 1000 km from the area it needs to survey, where do you think it would be best to place such a radar? Also do you think the PAF should ask the PLAAF to develop a couple of joint bases somewhere in Tibet or Xinjiang? A couple OTH-R sites can cover all of western India, as well as all of Pakistan and the coastline. The range can go as far as 3000 km, and OTH-R can keep an eye on Shipping along the Maritime Silk Road. (Bases in China would be safe from Indian attack while being able to relay data to PAF HQ)

Best if it happens.
.But how tou tackle listening which india & israel listening post located in Oman

I dont think China will sit idle and allow others to threatened its important supply route, a SOSUS or similar system is possible in Pakistani EEZ.

Butt how much our planners pleading/looking or bargaining to friends to do thats are for our own to do . Its a shame thing to look at others . These listening posts that these hell bound nations maintaining are quite DANGERIOUS .

There are limits to what our ground based and airborne radars can see. Also our Aew Aircraft aren't up all the time, and there are coverage gaps especially in detecting stealth aircraft far enough away. This would be particularly helpful for the Navy. This wouldn't be China's first OTH-R, just one dedicated to our mutual sector.

BTW here are Chinese Surface wave radar to detect sea traffic. This is also something Pakistan needs to get more closer in naval traffic data

This would how it would be used with an anti-ship ballistic missile to engage indian ships especially air defense destroyers and carriers.

We need all kinds of radars; because standard radars can be jammed in a war.

Laying this with undersea acoustic sensor networks will help clear up surface and subsurface threats. This would help our navy avoid threats and engage them from a safe distance.

OTH-R achillies heal is propagation itself; please read on D,E,F1,F2 layers and how propagation is affected with solar cycles - right now we are in a low and it is crippling long range comms only to below 18mhz if at all; plus if we have solar winds which can black out entire hf communications.

joint air base at xinjiang is necessary.there must be more pressure on india than before.

I don't think the PLAAF will allow a full base; put a listening station with signals officers fusing Pakistani Data back and forth from Pakistan through Fiber Optic links and Satellites, so some commanding PAF/PN/PA officers alongside Chinese partners can create a secure backup HQ in case of an attack on the actual HQ, as well as sharing experience with the Chinese Officers. Chinese officers can guide their Radar and EO Satellites to areas of interest, and jointly benefit both nations. All in a safe location, outside of Indian fire.
