Syria is at war with Israel and Israel occupies Big portion of Syrian territory since 1948. In other unrelated news Assad is shelling, rocket-lunching and barrel-bombing Syria.

Actually in 1948 it was Syria who occupied portion of Israel's territory.

I think if Assad declares war on Israel, then the rebels will unite with Syrian Army to attack Israel. This will save the Assad govt and also ends the civil war.

Syria attacks Israel, Assad will just hasten the downfall of his regime, the whole country be thrown to chaos. Much more on what it is right now. Israel will get back at Syria with all it's might. Let us not forget that the Israeli military is hand down, strongest in the Middle East no matter what other members here say.
