Pakistan should just abandon this Kashmir issue altogether before it loses Balochistan and/or Karachi like East Pakistan. Let the world worry about Kashmir. Pakistan is too weak, both Diplomatically and Militarily to do Kashmir any good anyway.

If Pakistan genuinely cared about Kashmiris, it would just give them the option to emigrate to Pakistan. India cares about the Buddhists in Tibet and gives Tibetans refuge. It knows China is the stronger neighbor here and does not engage in asymmetrical warfare with China or go around the world harping about Tibetan rights. Ironically, there is more support on the global stage for the Tibetan cause then there is for the Kashmiri cause.

Not true.

We want people to live where they want. Currently both Govts. refuse permission to their populace to do that. If Pakistan allows them in, we should NOT hold them here against their will.

In fact, if they want to move to Pakistan we should give them free one way tickets on tax-payers accounts after settling all their property in a fair manner such that they have the legitimate compensation and they can start a new life in Pakistan.

To be really honest - It actually doesn't.

It hardly matters to anyone outside of kashmir whether kashmir burns or not. Its impact remains limited to news channels and papers. Most of us don't really give a crap how many kashmiris are injured by pellets or bullets or whatever.

The entire population could go for an 'uprising' tomorrow and 99.9% of the rest of Indians won't give a damn. Of the small percentage that would care Would probably hope that the cops and paramilitary have adequate armaments.

I've already told you that none of us give a $hit about what kashmiris do. They can 'uprise', 'downrise', whatever.

As I said before. This is a very big country and kashmir valley is a very small place. Whatever they do just doesn't have any impact on the rest of us.

I will ofcourse be happy to donate a little money to the GoI in my personal capacity. Will feel happy as long as they buy a few bullets from it.
