HEY BROTHERS WHAT U THINK THAT IN THE CURRENTLY SITUATION OF COUNTRY ..SHOULD COAS GEN ISHFAQ IMPOSE MARSHAL LAW TO SAVE THE COUNTRY FOR NEXT UPCOMING TEN YEARS OR MORE WHAT U THINK I THINK THAT IT SHOULD .SO THAT WE WILL GET RID OF THESE POLITICAL DOGS WHO ARE RULING AND LOOTING THE COUNTRY SINCE THEY ARE BORN
:pakistan::guns::welcome:

Army as institution is free to adopt any strategy. But I have a proposal for controlling the ongoing political situation and future political secnario:

1.Create two posts of Pollitical advisers for Two Sitting Army Generals. One should sit in President House and other should sit in Raiwind. Both the generals should be having powers to say yes or no to every political move and political decision taken by the President House or from the Raiwind. These two guys should also control the high profile appointments and seek fresh clearances for already sitting fools.

2.COAS may call for a high profile meeting consisting of :
President, Nawaz Sharif, Shahbaz Sharif, Chief justice of Pakistan, Prime Minister, Justice retired Iftikhar Chaudhary, etc. Explain them the upcoming dangerous adventures against Pakistan and Ask them:

a) Restore the Provincial Government of Shahbaz Sharif.
b) Direct Nawaz Sharif to leave the country.
c) Dirct Justice Iftikhar Chaudhary to give up immature ideas.
d) Asked the president to say good bye to some unwanted subordinates.
e) Control the terrorism related issues on its own.
f) Ask Prime Minister to move a resolution to curtail the Powers of the
President of Pakistan.

The above proposal is prepared by me keeping in view the future policies of Nato, US and Isaf. The Pak army may be the only target in the future policies in the region, it may be in the name of ISI or in the name of Army.
SMIQBAL.

Why should there be a martial law. To rule is the right of Politicians no matter what. To obey to the lawful command is the duty of the military.

Looting an plundering is being done all the time. Martial Law or no martial Law. During the regime of Gen Zia and during the regime of Mush the pace of looting and Plundering never stopped.

there should a strong , hard hitting & full of justice martail law as soon as possible for the period of 15 years , with a clear defence & economic policy intact.

this new martail law , should be given name "islamic peoples revoulution" , it should bring good & better opprtunities for the middle classes , crunt political system with crunt politicians should be banned, at the same time army & its top brass should be banned to take any instructions from any of other major powers in the world.
a council of experts should be frormed , to tacal the diffrent problums faced by country with targets shighting near future.
no genral should be given more thn 5 years to be in service,& after the retirement , he should be included in the "revolutionry council" for thr period of 4 years.
in that 15 years , "DEMOCRACY FOR THE BETTERMENT OF PAKISTAN" should be taught as a basic subject along with english, islamic studies, urdu, in all of the schools & in universities all across the country.no preasure , no dictation should be taken in consideration, from any one.
i guss, its enough for pakistanis to have a joke called "ELECTIONS" i can bet that even we, do make new elections more 70 times the result would be same, in this dark age of stupidness , pakistan needs PAKARMY's positive , constructive , impartial, justifyable, & final role with ultimate objectives?:angry::angry::agree::tup::tup:

Martial law is not the answer but sometimes is the only option. Thats what has been happening since Pakistan's creation.
Imposing martial law is like press the reset button on the computer. It will probably reboot but still have the problem. Need to get rid of the problem that makes us reboot our country.

The leaders are a representation of the people. We gave these politicians fame, webrought these leaders to power. If you don't like the government, start voting. If you already vote and still are not satisfied, do something else (start a committee, write in newspapers, protest, no violence). If you are still unsatisfied, and most of the country is with you, get into politics or start a revolution. There are many things that we can do. Stop asking the Army to clean up your messes. Let them do their jobs, you do yours.

Our politicians have mostly been pretty bad, but the military leaders that take power have not exactly been "superb" either. When a military ruler takes power, he has "absolute power", which corrupts absolutely. It is impossible to have "freedom" and "justice" this way, it is like trying light a fire with water. What the Army should do is take an active part in actually organizing truly free-and-fair elections instead of striking deals with political parties. After that, withdraw from politics completely and use their discretion when interefering. Also, senior Army personnel should stop conspiring with other countries.

From what I have read on this thread, I think many here would have liked it just fine in Nazi Germany. "Kill the politicians", "stop the media from criticising the Army", "kick everyone out of the country", wow, no wonder we are in all this trouble.

I am not denying that the country is in turmoil. Neither am I defending PPP or PML or any of the other hundred parties. What I am saying is, enough with the Martial Laws and dictatorships. Enough of running our country according to someone elses wishes. Enough of deal making between politicians and the army.

It is only a matter of time it seems:

"Former president Gen (retd) Pervez Musharraf on Monday stopped short of urging the military establishment in the country to take matters into its own hands, but warned that when internal and external threats became too acute the army had to do something ‘one way or another’. And as if these words were not enough to send alarm bells ringing in the corridors of a besieged government, Musharraf said: ‘I am not suggesting that the army chief (Gen Ashfaq Parvez Kayani) do this or that. It is his call..."
