Shi'ite commander in the Taliban

Taliban are Deobandi Sunni Hanafis like Pakistanis. The hate for Shias isn't extreme as Salafis or Khaleejis.

It is more to due with internal politicals of some Shia groups and Iran.

I know the taliban are also mix Pashtunism with Islamism that’s why they have problem with non Pashtun Sunnis

Iran has been providing assistance to Taliban for a long time! their only enemy is idol worshiper and occupiers
Agreed, but much less than what Pakistan provides them. fact!

. . . .
That is too simple of a reason. Especially since we know US brought Daesh there to use against Taliban.

I think that Taliban has reached the point where it has become accepted as the de facto government of Afghanistan. It means Indian and Iranian influence is gone.

In sha Allah, I hope its all for the best.

I agree with what you said except this part:
It means Indian and Iranian influence is gone.
This is wishful thinking and exaggeration. Taliban will welcome Iran, because Iran helped them against US. Taliban of 2001 is not the same Taliban as today. They had to "adjust" in order for them and their causes to survive successfully.

good for the iranian war economy
you guys kept gasing that war flame though..dont play victim now..

Taliban is becoming a truly Islamic force that unites Muslims. They have very close ties with Muslims from all over the world. They even sent forces to help in Syria including a pilot who never made it to an aircraft. Or so I heard from Twitter ;)

But aren’t Uzbeks and Tajiks are also have many members in taliban?! From what I know these are ethnic groups but the hazara are Shia that’s why taliban hates them I wonder if they have problem with a hazara who become Sunni?!

The hate between Hazaras and the Taliban in the past was primarily based on politics (of course sect played a role). The political divide has diminished, as such, hundreds of Taliban fighters today are Shia.

. . .
true Pakistan is their biggest ally a friend!
thanks. That shows you have alot of common sense. cheers.

Agreed. It proves ONCE AGAIN, that the vast majority of political and military decisions are made on strategic considerations mostly, not emotional and religious.

During the Afghan war a very senior delegation of the Afghan mujahideen came to visit Pakistan. They included Pashtun, Uzbek, Tajik, etc but no hazara. Now on their tour of Quetta they were to meet Gen. Musa.
They did not know that Gen. Musa was a hazara n when they found out that he was a hazara they refused to shake hands with him n after a lot of persuasion they finally did.

That is just one example of the afghans across the board how they look down upon the hazaras with down right hate n contempt n in some case dont even consider them equals.

So any body saying other wise does not know the workings of Afghanistan.
