What's new

Sheikh Mujib - the greatest leader in South Asia

Sher-e-bangla gave unified muslims of Bengal and gave form to muslim sovereignty here and ensured by whatever happened BD would emerge post British Raj.

BD needs to define its heros and that is not dependent on anyone else.

BD intelligentsia does not see Mujib as the father of the nation and it never will. Only those who draw BD history from 1971 does. Our country is much older than that. Mujib has a high place in the historical continum and all dues to him but BDs history is a living entity, BAL can not co-opt that however much it tries.

BD has “intelligentsia” hehe

🤣🤣🤣🤣

Akdoom bakdoom gorardoom shaje 🤣🤣🤣

So.... are you going to use the same vile and disgusting language against Bangladeshis, the people who killed him, as you do against Pakistanis? Or is your racism only for us?

How is it vile for bdeshis? His Excellency mujib is held in very high esteem is Bangladesh.

Was it you that tried to kill beloved imran khan?

Add some fish oil into your diet pls, your brain is not functioning properly.

Let me spell it out for you, as your lacking omega 3 and stay away from the sun therefore your lacking vitamin d.

Beloved Imran khan and the Excellency mujib might have different circumstances but have similar parallels. You don't see that, then not even Allah or benevolent angels can help you.

Bangladeshis killed your beloved leader, yet your racist Ire is only aimed at Pakistan.
You have to have a really low IQ to be such a vile racist, and you are certainly not disproving that notion.

No point in interacting with him, he seems bitter towards Pakistanis likely due to his experience with them. Probably received hate or was bullied by some.

But overall I like to think Bengali-Pakistani people to people relations are quite positive.

There's no need to have bitter national ties when the people get along well and have shared history, with no real immediate reasons to object to building ties.

Imran Khan should rebuild strong ties with Bangladesh when and if he returns, it's the best time to do that after the exposure of the military junta, and then undergo reforms for the institution.

.
I also put Tajuddin Ahmed well ahead of Bangabandhu. Bangabandhu had no interest in declaring independence despite being urged many times in the lead up to 25th March 1971.

Tajuddin showed balls by convincing a reluctant and economically fragile India to support Mukti Bahini.
Why not jinnah?

Agreed.
Never had a negative interaction with a Bengali in real life, I respect them and they respect me.
It seems like PDF attracts damaged people so not surprised people like this guy are spewing their racist crap.

I am dismayed that our nation’s founding father is being co-opted by Hinduvta. Making movies and creating idols etc

But I am pleased that Pakistanis are also co-opting him. Imran Khan aspires to be the Mujib of west Pakistan. I hope the great man succeeds.

Whereas Gandhi, Nehru, Patel and Jinnah remain divisive figures.

ONLY SHEIKH MUJIB UNITES THE FACTIONS IN SOUTH ASIA

Both IK and Mujib are Indian agents.

.
Both were Muslim and Pakistani
But when faced with injustice and inequality
People ask for change and future generations argue who was more wrong
East Pakistani were a nation in itself, their wishes should have been respected with no blood shed

The narrative changed a few times here someone said indira ghandi India killed him. Also Pakistani leadership hated him as well, before and after, behind closed doors or publicly.

Now it's bengalis killed him with no one pulling the strings.

If I hate Pakistanis so much why do I root for imran khan?

Why not jinnah?
1. I was referring to liberation of BD in 1971 specifically

2. Jinnah probably meant well but killed goodwill by trying to force Urdu as the ONLY state language.

3. Jinnah has significant contribution to creation of Pakistan but just like Bangabandhu he is overrated - there are many other founding fathers of both Pakistan and Bangladesh movements who do not get nearly as much attention or credit.

Others not getting their due credit doesn’t mean Jinnah and Mujib are overrated.

George Washington is revered even though he was not one of the most consequential presidents e.g. Lincoln, FDR and LBJ.

Jinnah has his place and no one doubts his contribution to PK.

However, he has never been lionised in BD as he had in PK, not because we have anything against him.

It simply because he was never a personality in BD, he had no say in Muslim League of Bengal and held no popular position in the heart of the people of BD. We have our own leaders such as Sher-e-bangla, such as huseyn shaheed suhrawardy, Maulana Bhashani, khwaji nazimuddin, etc.

Jinnah as others have said sought to impose urdu, without going into the right or wrong of that policy it displayed great insensitivity towards what at that time was the majority population of PK. I personally belive it was a honest miscalculation on his part as a result lack of understanding of Bengal. Anyhow suffice it to say Jinnah is respected at a basic level but he is not part of BDs national narrative, just a footnote.

wow, I have never seen someone cope has hard as you.
Bro is out here literally inventing history in order to not have to come to terms with the truth.
Oh and you can be racist against someone and still root for one of them. The two are not mutually exclusive, as you are proving.
