Sharia court in Nigeria sentences singer to death for blasphemy

Should any disrespect warrant murder or can we be selective about it?

Any disrespect as compare to blasphemy? Really? A Shariah Court issued the verdict and that's not murder unless you think otherwise.

We are no different than Hindus who kill others for eating or hurting a cow. We have taken it one step further and institutionalised it.
You are comparing Islamic Shariah law to what? The case was of proven blasphemy. You don't like it? no problem your own choice but don't provoke others like this. Please.

.
Abu Afak and Asma bint Marwan were ordered by the Prophet Muhammad saws to be eliminated as they wrote poems to insult Muslims, Madinah, and accused them of betraying traditions.

Both are mentioned in Ibn Ishaq.

You need to be more specific bro, I think it is a very hard statement since if in truth prophet Muhammad never said thing like that, then you can get very big sin.

Both Muslim and Bukhari hadith are accessible online, so you should give us proper hadith with the link as well form both Bukhari and Muslim online hadith.

.
Just read the surah Labab and

Why don't you read surah lahab and it's tafseer in which Allah Swt is clearly saying against those (abi Lahab cousin of prophet peace be upon him) that may your hands be cut may you burn in fire, and it was the very first time when prophet strated to preach Islam and even on that time there were hardly any believer,

That surah Al Lahab is specific for Abu Lahab and he has made many bad things to prophet Muhammad and even If I am not mistaken some thing like pouring bloods when prophet Muhammad is praying.

If that Surah is for other Kafir who rejected prophet Muhammad then why Umar bin Khatab is spared and even blessed by Allah SWT and become one of the first Caliph after Abu Bakr.

I posted it like that because I wanted you to search it for yourself, brother.

If you require a source, I will find it for you. You will have to wait a little bit.

Also, Bukhari and Muslim are not the only source of Sahih ahadith, brother.

You are so ignorant that you can't differentiate between a cow that is consumed world over and a prophet followed by more than 2 billion humans in this world

This is the condition of Pakistanis today

. .
Because Umar(RZ) left the path of Kufar. Abu Lehab didn't

I dont think so, that surah is specific to Abu Lahab, thats why it is called Al-Lahab.

Regarding abusing and mocking Islam with words, this is what I can found in Quran:

Surah Ali Imran 186

You will surely be tested in your possessions and in yourselves. And you will surely hear from those who were given the Scripture before you and from those who associate others with Allah much abuse. But if you are patient and fear Allah - indeed, that is of the matters [worthy] of determination.

.
If negating Islamic laws and ideology makes you forward then please be it ,but I am happy with my belief and being called backward, thanks
Which Islamic laws? There is no compulsion in religion.

Guys, let's try to avoid religious discussion as best as we can.

So the two cases I searched and found initially (Abu Afak and Asma Bint Marwan) are not sahih ahadith, and have questionable authenticity due to one major weakness in isnad.

However we do have the prominent cases of two cases of Musaylimah al Kazzab and Ka'ab bin Ashraf.

Sahih al Bukhari on Ka'ab bin Ashraf

Volume 4, Book 52, Number 270:

Narrated Jabir bin 'Abdullah:

The Prophet said, "Who is ready to kill Ka'b bin Al-Ashraf who has really hurt Allah and His Apostle?" Muhammad bin Maslama said, "O Allah's Apostle! Do you like me to kill him?" He replied in the affirmative. So, Muhammad bin Maslama went to him (i.e. Ka'b) and said, "This person (i.e. the Prophet) has put us to task and asked us for charity." Ka'b replied, "By Allah, you will get tired of him." Muhammad said to him, "We have followed him, so we dislike to leave him till we see the end of his affair." Muhammad bin Maslama went on talking to him in this way till he got the chance to kill him.

Volume 4, Book 52, Number 271
Narrated Jabir:

The Prophet said, "Who is ready to kill Ka'b bin Ashraf (i.e. a Jew)." Muhammad bin Maslama replied, "Do you like me to kill him?" The Prophet replied in the affirmative. Muhammad bin Maslama said, "Then allow me to say what I like." The Prophet replied, "I do (i.e. allow you)."

Sunan Abi Dawud on Musaylimah's people

Narrated Abdullah ibn Mas'ud:

Harithah ibn Mudarrib said that he came to Abdullah ibn Mas'ud and said (to him): There is no enmity between me and any of the Arabs. I passed a mosque of Banu Hanifah. They (the people) believed in Musaylimah. Abdullah (ibn Mas'ud) sent for them. They were brought, and he asked them to repent, except Ibn an-Nawwahah. He said to him: I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: Were it not that you were not a messenger, I would behead you. But today you are not a messenger. He then ordered Qarazah ibn Ka'b (to kill him). He beheaded him in the market. Anyone who wants to see Ibn an-Nawwahah slain in the market (he may see him).

There was a state of Madinah, which had its own political and judicial system.
I know about Madinah, but that doesn't excuse blasphemy killing, which is not a Quranic obligation, in fact it says clearly no compulsion in religion.

We need to study this hadith, why that Jew is mentioned by prophet Muhammad, what is his wrong.......Maybe he has made some thing bad like killing another Muslim. We can not make a generalization over this particular case since you only can found about 1 chase about this and we also dont know what mistake he made.

But that Quran verse that I posted here is a stronger dalil and it is clearly talking about some one who mock Islam from Ahlul Kitab and musrikin and what Allah want us to be is to restrain and be patience.

Surah Ali Imran 186

You will surely be tested in your possessions and in yourselves. And you will surely hear from those who were given the Scripture before you and from those who associate others with Allah much abuse. But if you are patient and fear Allah - indeed, that is of the matters [worthy] of determination.

Another Quran that has relation to it:

An Nahl Verse 126

And if you punish [an enemy, O believers], punish with an equivalent of that with which you were harmed. But if you are patient - it is better for those who are patient.

This verse is some how very applicable in internet media where we see some one mocking Islam so we can respond back by another statement that attacking their religion/believe, not killing him.

Hadith is word of man, Quran word of God and divinely inspired.

You will not find any discrepancy in Sahih Ahadith brother. If you choose to not believe it, your choice.

Feel free to ask Alim about it.
