1.The Chinese population is gradually declining.

According to a recent United Nations report, the Chinese population will be in full decline by 2028. Even though the population has increased since 2000, the birth rate has declined by 40%.
2.Eating dog is becoming increasingly unpopular.

The rate of dog consumption is declining so much that there has been talk of considering legislation that would make eating cats and dogs illegal. And recently, Weibo (China's Twitter) blew up with viral protesting against eating dogs. Most Chinese people prefer to keep cats and dogs as pets.
3.Breathing in Beijing air is not as bad as you might think.
Although pollution in Beijing is a major worsening issue, according to a recent study, breathing in the air is only equivalent to being exposed to secondhand smoke (one-sixth of a cigarette) as opposed to smoking a pack a day.
4. The one-child policy does not apply any more.
China's one-child policy was only enacted in 1978, and abolished completely in 2015.In a word,there is no more one-child policy. You can have 2 or 3 children if you can economically support them.

5.China is not technically a communist country.
Though China was communist from 1949–1976, after the death of Chairman Mao Zedong, the country embraced capitalism and became more socialist than anything. Because China's political system is a one-party system, the Communist Party of China (the current ruling party) is mistaken by foreigners as the voice of the entire country. But that's like saying that America is a Democratic or Republican country depending on which party wins each election.
6.Not all chinese people can speak "Chinese Mandarin."
Actually, "Chinese" is not a single, unified language. It's composed of many different dialects, the most common of which include Mandarin and Cantonese.
7.The Chinese food you're used to eating in the USA/Europe is probably not real Chinese food.
Sweet and egg rolls, beef and broccoli... Yeah, Chinese people don't eat that. Instead, you'll find more cooked vegetables and simple meat dishes. Different, but delicious.

8. There are already more Christians in China than Italy, and it's on track to become the largest center of Christianity in the world.
Due to the extremely rapid expansion of Christianity in China, there are now an estimated 54 million Christians in the country, comprised of about 40 million Protestants and 14 million Catholics. Meanwhile, Italy has just 60 million people in total, of which 79% are Christian these days, which means Italy has 47.4 million Christians, that's 12% less than China.
9. By 2025, China will build TEN New York-sized cities

The scale and pace of China's urbanization promises to continue at an unprecedented rate. If current trends hold, China's urban population will expand from 572 million in 2005 to 926 million in 2025 and hit the one billion mark by 2030. In 20 years, China's cities will have added 350 million people—more than the entire population of the United States today. By 2025, China will have 219 cities with more than one million inhabitants—compared with 35 in Europe today—and 24 cities with more than five million people. Also, 40 billion square meters of floor space will be built - in five million buildings. 50,000 of these buildings could be skyscrapers - the equivalent of ten New York Cities.

I'd say if they live in a non-poor neighborhood 99.9999999% will not be shot. However if they live in a poor area with a large black population it's probably much lower since the vast majority of black shooting victims are shot by other black people. Probably only a 90% chance of not being shot in a lifetime if you live in one of these areas.

As Bill Cosby would say "It's really sad that when I walk down the street in a white neighborhood and if people are walking towards me I think nothing of it...however in the same situation in a black neighborhood I cross the street to avoid trouble"

Favoring a male child is an old story and currently in China,coz the economy has been improved,and no need a male offspring to support the elderly themselves( bring up sons to support parents in their old age
), daughters are more popular because daughters do not have to buy a house, and if parents have son
, they must either pay in full or pay part of the money to buy a house for their son in order to empower their son to marry his wife. And as you said less daughters,Chinese women now have more options, Chinese women's have much and much higher requirements.

The most safe and confortable place on this planet(i am speaking on behalf of Anhui province,Jiangsu province,Zhejiang Province and shanghai Megacity as well as French Paris and Chartres city coz those are the places i have ever been in my whole life,i am not speaking on behalf of all chineses provinces,China is not perfect but the place i want to stay the most and where i belong!!!
I am not saying i do not like France,when i was in France ,il like their environement and cleaness,they have better environmment protection and city planning as well as safety standard (not built in one day of course), but i do not like its bus transit system in middle and small city(China has better public transit systems in both larg and middle and small cities）,may be coz i was living in small city Chartre of Eure et loire of France,i need to go to work in the morning,but there is only one transit bus in 7:30 if i missed it then it is over,and the next one is 8:30....And during a stop,the bus driver always wait at least 5 minutes to start again the bus,i do not like it.....And it was expensive,86 euros for a monthly bus ticket in Chartre of France！！！！
Currently i am living in my appartment that i bought in Jiangyin county,Wuxi City,Jiangsu Provicne, China.

Malaysia, Indonesia and Philippine are most comfortable and livable places in Asia,
even today, there're many mainland Chinese emigrate to these countries for business opportunity and comfortable life, mainland China is an extremely competitive country,
too many people compete for available jobs, health cares, schools etc, high pressure is everywhere, that's probably why mainland Chinese are globally competitive since we're
used to such high pressure. For enjoyment of life, South East Asia is better. Well, it's only my personal opinion.
