Hi,

Why do pakistanis speak the Indian language Urdu? It was created in UP so it has no linkage to Punjab (west), Sindh, NWFP, and Balochistan. They should speak farsi or dari or something, not an Indian language.

Remember keep it clean and stick to the topic.

Discussed so many times.got boring.now paakis will come up by saying urdu is historically linked to west Punjab when no such evidence exists.Anyway Pakistanis speaking Urdu is a blessing to India
It broke the backbone of Punjabi movies and arts in pak.It also made an avg paaki to look up to India.Subconsciously Urdu made an avg Pakistani a slave of India.

North Indians*

We also enslaved madrassis too then :p::p:

Like everything else Urdu is also a gift from foreign conquerors and doesn't really belong to British India. Urdu was greatly influenced by both Arabic and Persian and Islamic literature of subcontinent was for a major part rooted in them. Precisely why both Arabic and Persian had been part and parcel of Madrrassa education from pre-partition days.

That said other languages are officially recognized and promoted by Government and Urdu is used as a national medium. I think OP's intentions are malicious and like the daily circus we see between Tamils and North Indians OP wants to see Pakistanis fighting over this issue.

non-serious question poocha hai.

Serious heading kay saath.

hahahah

Now here you go. This Urdinglish for you.

FFS where do you guys keep pulling this stuff from. Nearly 70 years have gone by and you still can't get over it. By the way **** is a derogatory term and I'll report it next time you use it.

Urdu is a Sanskrit-derived language with considerable Arabic and Farsi loanwords. However, that does not mean it is foreign in origin.

My intents are certainly not malicious, they are inquisitive. Stop being so insecure, mate.

River Indus , which gives India her name , flows through Pakistan .... Now You should stop calling yourself "India" and find a new name ... The fact is , We (Pakistanis) are more "Indian" than the "South" Indians ......

That is a separate discussion. I said keep to the topic, was that too hard to understand? Please answer the question instead of going on tangents.

inquisitive intentions need serious work in the library,

on on PDF.

A personal approach will result in a more thorough understanding that anything found in a textbook(s)

I am being insecure? English is the official language of India used primarily as medium of all communication in official capacity yet I have still entertained your ridiculous query. Seriously some knowledge would go a long way in not making your goodself a laughing stock.

(unless you think English also originated from India in which case you are beyond help)

I have no problem with urdu mixed heavily with our traditional persio-arabic vocabulary and a little bit flavor of local languages here and there. I personally don't like the version of urdu used by people in karachi which gives a very strong indian hindi vibe. I like the version of urdu used in punjab pakistan which is sometimes called by an indian member "indic" as "sadakchap urdu" :sarcastic:

For such a ridiculous question you expect us to be serious huh ? URDU belongs to Pakistan your Language is "HINDI", If someone who knows good Urdu will talk, I am pretty sure 95% of Indians can't even understand it. Same goes the other way around if you will talk in good "HINDI".

So here is a fact for you. Urdu Belongs to Pakistanis and Hindi to Indians, We are two different nations with 2 different languages :D Thank you :D

Just like your Indians speak our language Punjabi and the old languages we the people of IVC invented.
Urdu is a 'Muslim language' and has nothing to do with the Hindu civilization. Hindi is a Hindu belt language with more words from old Hindu languages while Urdu is a Muslim language which leans more towards Persian, Arabic and Turkish. Urdu wasn't invented in UP - if it was they must answer first how come they used a Turkish word Ordu (Leshkar).

Useless troll thread - closed.
