Aleksandar Vucic, Li Keqiang agree to hold CEE summit in Belgrade | InSerbia News

“This is a big thing for Serbia. For the first time since 1986, a Chinese prime minister is coming to Belgrade, together with the 16 prime ministers of Central and Eastern Europe. For at least 35-40 years, there has been no such an event in the territory of Serbia,” Vucic said after the meeting with Li. China and Serbia are good friends and partners. The traditionally strong friendship and solid foundations at the political level are what bind us together. Serbia is the first country in Central and South-East Europe that has established strategic partnership with China, the Chinese prime minister said, noting that he would come to Serbia at the invitation of the Serbian prime minister, for the first time at that level since 1986.

In December, the two prime ministers will sign with their Hungarian counterpart Viktor Orban an agreement on the construction of a high-speed railway between Belgrade and Budapest, which will be a very useful project, as the Chinese prime minister put it, given the current economic situation in Europe. According to Vucic, Li has recently agreed with Greek Prime Minister Antonio Samaras that the Budapest-Belgrade railway should be connected to Thessaloniki, which would be the biggest infrastructure project for Serbia. Referring to the China -CEE summit which will be organized by Serbia and China, Vucic said it is Serbia’s honor to host such an event. On Wednesday, Vucic also talked with representatives of China Road and Bridge Corporation (CRBC), which is building the Zemun-Borca Bridge, according to a release issued by the Serbian government’s press office. The Serbian prime minister also talked with representatives of state-owned enterprise NORINCO, ranked 151st on the list of the world’s biggest 500 companies, which is engaged in the manufacturing of defense systems, oil trading, mining and wants to invest in Serbia. The Serbian prime minister is on a three-day visit to China, where he also took part in the World Economic Forum. Vucic began his visit to China on Tuesday with meetings in Tianjin with representatives of several big Chinese companies, with whom he discussed prospects for investing in Serbia.

It is great to see after our PM gets leader role in just finished Berlin summit of Western Balkans,we are clearly most important China partner in all E.Europe.
It is time for opening Serbian potential to world economic superpowers.

There you go, exploding with some sort of pride.
If you actually knew what you were talking about, and if you knew anything about China, you would know that they have been trying to start an investment drive in central and eastern Europe for a few years now, as they see it not as saturated as western Europe. Last year's CCE was in Bucharest, Romania.

It is a pride be sure about it.We finnaly know our route today, not our govr.but people.
We will cooporate with Chinese even more in future,we know where future lives, and it is not EU or USA.

Yeah CCE was in Bucharest last year, but this new summit will hit record in investments.More then 10 billion just in one year in entire EE.

I think Serbian future is with EU.

Anyhow, i'll be back!

If Europe survive attacks from USA,and survive economic crisis.

I will support Serbia in EU.

Me too, I also support the integration of Europe when it is completely freed from the Anglo-American hegemony.
