Not paranoid sensible approach.Just imagine not only their personal security compromised but through them their loves ones and relative and what if any live in india?(still lot of such families in Pakistan) also does not it possible to pressurized them using their loved ones now or later???

Army recently instructed all its officers/soldiers to curtail use of social media and exit from all course/unit groups.

I wonder whether air force/navy circulated such memo. There are clearly there are too many leaks on SM as evident from the hangar celebratory video on Feb 27, 2019.

This needs to stop in all three forces. Use of dumb/classic phones needs to be enforced while on station similar to what russians and the turks are doing.
