Self Account deactivation option ?

Hi Folks.

I was just thinking if Asim or webbie can add a feature to every account which may enable members to deactivate their account themselves for a required time - it must not be a ban nor suspension but a break from this addictive forum for important real life demands.

Most of the members are either students , doing research or working - it would provide a flexible option to take some time off and concentrate on exams or projects.

If added it would be really helpful for people like myself-the option is available for facebook accounts.

But, in FB, it's very easy to reactivate account just by signing in as usual, right?

So modified or other idea is needed, like add some difficult procedures to reactivate the account.

Also mod, there should be more privilege for seniors members, like they should have the power to ban elite members, opps i mean opposite.

BB first you will get banned/self ban then after 2 days you will feel like commenting and send message to webbie please unban me. Webbie ko headache ho jayega. Learn to control addiction.

What if you have a button to activate/deactivate your account by yourself!



Only respected members should have this privilege otherwise every tom dick or harry will activate his account.

what really is a use of this function if you can unban yourself anytime

if you want to deactivate your account, simple way is to do not sign in. Its deactivated

Like facebook, if you can to activate again.......... sign in using your login details. Either it should be as it is or do not sign in

I have tried the idea before but its not good - i just need to know if this feature can be added maybe to just Elite Member's profiles as a privilege.

I mean a little more control on your own account.

As far as "Control" is concerned, I assume that you're addicted to the board. You must control yourself from reaching that keyboard and you'd be fine.
