Very nice. Congrats to Bangladesh! By the way, I know every nation has their naval traditions for luck, but what's that giant marble that they're all touching? Any historical significance behind it? :cheers:

Yes I was interested in that too. Its in China and I can see some Bangladeshis there.

@aliaselin What is that globe?

I am sure that BD will use the 1 billion dollar credit that it is negotiating with China for
a couple of Type 054As or equivalent.
do you have any credible source that $1 billion credit for defense purchase was negotiated with China??

Not negotiated but negotiating.

China will easily give billion dollar credit to BD as BD can afford to pay it back.

Ok, show the credible source that Bangladesh "negotiating" $1 billion defense credit with China. No one questioned Chinese ability to provide credit or Bangladesh ability to pay back. But what in question here is credibility of the news and you propagating it.

Thanks for credible link, that is what being asked. Report says it will start negotiation not "negotiating" as UK Bengali posted. Nonetheless, it looks like this loan "proposal" directed more towards sub and sub base

The EoI, seen by New Age, said Poly technologies Inc. is willing to provide a credit package up to one billion US dollar to Bangladesh ‘to facilitate the naval equipment development and modernisation, including acquisition of new naval platforms with related equipment and construction of naval bases.’ - See more at: Dhaka to negotiate for Chinese credit line of $ 1b soon | New Age
