Imran Ismail is a good candidate, true son of Karachi, a brave man, I am sure he will defeat terrorisst mqm.

he will get quite a lot of votes, but no one will be able to defeat MQM in areas like north karachi, karimabad, liaquatabad.

Totally agree with you, this distribution tactic is part of election campaigns for years, but I guess they were not expecting MQM to do this in their own stronghold

This is nothing new, MQM has always gone door to door during elections handing out flyers etc. I just don't see the fuss over it.

MQM needs to stop its fascist mentality but with that said MQM does enjoy large support amongst lower and middle class Urdu Speakers, its actually the upper class and mommy daddy boys who worship Imran Khan. the funny thing is that neither Altaf nor Imran give a damn about people of Karachi.

Imran Khan is drooling over potential for grabbing seats in Karachi, nonetheless its every party's right to campaign. PTI should be given same chance in Karachi to campaign. But I wonder if MQM will be allowed to campaign in Punjab, last time they tried their offices were forcefully shut down and their workers harassed by ''CENSORED''. .

do you live in karachi? because i live in what used to be a 100% MQM area (tariq road), and not once has mqm ever given us such flyers, at the time of LG polls or 2013 election or any by-poll.

If PTI will lose NA246 election , then ? and most probably MQM will win despite their terroism based policy because you cannot win easily in MQM stronghold .

it's not about winning, it's about sending a message. if the difference in votes is just a few hundred it will show mqm that they can not rule Karachi through their politics of terror.

They were gaining some support in Punjab due to nationalistic and secular policies. But they lost all that support after what they did on May 12, 2007. They once again proved that they are still a terrorist organization and not a political one.

both. musharraf's economic policies and introduction of local govt system is the reason i like him. we were the fastest growing economy at one point.
and IK said that the taliban willing to pursue talks should be allowed a second chance, and there should be operation against those unwilling. and just so you know, maybe you weren't paying attention in jan-march 2014 but it was the Government that decided to pursue talks, not Imran Khan, even when sources said Army was long ready for operation.
IK has no personal feelings for taliban, as you can see, KPK police has done massive search and strike ops all over KPK in past 3 months and nabbed hundreds of militants.
