Saudi King Abdullah Orders $500 Million in Humanitarian Assistance to the Iraqi People

WASHINGTON, July 1, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, ordered the provision of $500 million in humanitarian assistance to the Iraqi people who have suffered greatly from recent events, including those who have been displaced, regardless of their religion, sect or ethnicity.

The U.N. Secretary-General has been informed of this contribution, which will be provided solely to the Iraqi people through the appropriate U.N. agencies. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will coordinate with the U.N. to ensure that the assistance reaches all segments of the Iraqi population that have suffered from recent developments.

. . . .
which Iraqis !?
I suppose those iraqis are ISIS and Baathis

Iraqis as in fellow neighboring Arab/Semitic people whom we have shared close relations to on all fronts for thousands of years well before anyone had heard about Iran.

You can read in the article what the donation is about.

I guess you wanted a similar donation to all the fake wannabe Arab Mullah sponsored terrorist groups and militias, Shia sellouts and other puppets.

Now some Iraqi Shia Arabs in the South want their own country but they forget that they will become an even bigger client state of Iran despite insisting that Iranians are unwanted foreigners.

@JUBA

I don't trust the current failed and highly incompetent Iraqi regime. This donation should only be given directly after a regime change.

Or just give it to the Iraqi Sunni Arabs. Let the Mullah's in Iran give Iraq a similar donation just to the Iraqi Shia Arabs. They have the oil and gas as well.
Use it on our own people instead. They will probably be ungrateful anyway. At least the Shias.

On the other hand it pains one to see such chaos so I don't know man.

Don't worry brother, Malki can't touch the money it was given to the UN, and the UN will give it to the refugees

Let's hope that brother.

I suggest you listen to Taha Al-Dulaimi. He has for a long time exposed that incompetent Maliki terror regime.

Good gesture..Saudi King should use his influence to bring peace to the region...

Iraqis and Iraqis only should have a say in their affairs....not Syrians not Iranians or members of the Persian Gulf countries

No, Iraqis are fellow Arabs and we as Arabs have every right to be worried about an fellow Arab country. There is nothing called "Farsi Gulf countries".

No foreigner is going to tell us otherwise. This is our region.

We will not look silently when our brothers and sisters are getting killed.

He also said that ISIS is the one leading this 'uprising' as some like to call it, yet people tend to ignore it.

Nope, like you said on this forum, Saudi internal affairs are only the business of Saudis this is the same thing. No double standards allowed here.

What has ISIS to do with opposition to al-Maliki?! 90% that are against al-Maliki's incompetent terror regime are also against ISIS. In fact both are trash which most agree with. Both have taken Syria and Iraq hostage. Just change Maliki with Al-Asshead in Syria.

Atheel Nujaifi is right about the current situation.

"fellow Arabs"

I wish you had that sentiment when Arabs are busy killing eachother in the streets in Syria Iraq Lbnan and elsewhere.

"your region" is spiraling out of control....

We will not look silently when our brothers and sisters are getting killed.

well from your posts (garbage) it seems that you are claiming Iraqi Sunnis as your people and Iraqi Shiites as outsiders in their own country

in other words, people with your mentality are part of the problem...and i hope that mentality is deleted from the memory of all Iraqis because Iraq is an ancient civilization that is unfortunately getting bogged down again in historic rivalries, exacerbated by the selfish designs of a select few countries in the region whose names shall be with-held

and as an outsider but still someone "in the know" -- it is Persian Gulf
