I doubt that in recent iran showed interest toward tupoleve and of the nuclear deal reached then there are companies like Embraer and Boeing and airbus and a dozen more to consider.

Saudis are just too slow... maybe lazy. With an $80 billion defence budget (third largest in the world) Saudia Arabia does not even build its own fighter aircrafts - does even have a submarine. Shocker.

I pray Saudia Arabia will organise its defence sector very quickly.

There is no mentioning of UK in the article, maybe it's mistranslated? in Saudi Arabia, newspapers and media call Saudi Arabia as just "The Kingdom" which in Arabic is very similar to "United Kingdom."
