Saudi Arabia says it won't rule out building nuclear weapons

LOL

If everyone have nukes , we dont have world to live in .... A trip to moon is still expensive ..

On the contrary, if everyone has nukes nobody would dare invade another country. The best solution is complete denuclearization of the planet of course, but that is wishful thinking. When you have certain nuclear-armed rogue bullies (mainly the West and Isra-s.hit) nobody is safe. In fact, most people in the world today are totally clueless that we are currently on the brink of a major thermonuclear war that (of course) would be initiated by the West. It could happen at any moment.

if i got back in history , i see Iraq using Chemical weapons against Iran , what if they got Nukes back than ??
dont be so blind , nukes are nothing to stop war ... its a very huge risk , there will be no war but if there is war than it will make sure there is no human life will remain on planet earth ...

Saudi Arabia will not rule out building or acquiring nuclear weapons, the country’s ambassador to the United States has indicated.

Asked whether Saudi Arabia would ever build nuclear weapons in an interview with US news channel CNN, Adel Al-Jubeir said the subject was “not something we would discuss publicly”.

Pressed later on the subject he said: “This is not something that I can comment on, nor would I comment on.”

The ambassador’s reticence to rule out a military nuclear programme may reignite concerns that the autocratic monarchy has its eye on a nuclear arsenal.

Western intelligence agencies believe that the Saudi monarchy paid for up to 60% of Pakistan’s nuclear programme in return for the ability to buy warheads for itself at short notice, the Guardian newspaper reported in 2010.

The two countries maintain close relations and are sometimes said to have a special relationship; they currently have close military ties and conduct joint exercises.

The Saudi Arabian regime also already possesses medium-range ballistic missiles in the form of the Royal Saudi Strategic Missile Force.

In addition it has significant nuclear expertise in the form of a civilian nuclear programme of the kind Iran says it wants to develop.

In 2012 the Saudi Arabian government threatened to acquire nuclear weapons were neighbouring regional power Iran ever to do so.

“Politically, it would be completely unacceptable to have Iran with a nuclear capability and not the kingdom,” a senior Saudi source told The Times newspaper at the time.

The United States and other Western allies say a deal with Iran on its nuclear programme is possible. Iran denies it is building nuclear weapons.

The news comes days after Saudi Arabia launched a military operation in neighbouring Yemen aimed at suppression a rebel group that is attempting to form a central government.

Saudi’s military operation against the advancing Shia Houthi group has been joined by Egyptian, Jordanian and Moroccan forces.

Let the Saudis have nukes is like giving 10 years old child a grenade

It's big mistake

@ChineseTiger1986

Ironically KSA and China are working closely on the nuclear energy front and signed deals recently. KSA also signed deals with South Korea not long ago.

I cannot post links yet otherwise I would have posted dozens of links dealing with nuclear energy and power in KSA and future plans on this front and local capabilities.

KSA is a secretive state on this front and does not feel the need to make photoshop for the entire world to see when making claims.

Yeah, we have already signed multiple deals when it comes to the renewable energies for the civilian purpose.

As for the military, I think Pakistan's nuclear technology will be KSA's backup.

Both Iran and KSA will eventually go nuclear, this is inevitable.

KSA was crucial to the Pakistani nuclear program and I am sure that knowhow was delivered/taught to local Saudi Arabians. Otherwise KSA would not do such a thing. I am sure that Pakistan will deliver nuclear war heads should KSA need it until KSA themselves develop nuclear energy. Once that happens developing nuclear weapons won't be a too big challenge.

By 2030 KSA will built 30 nuclear reactors. Hundreds if not thousands of locals are already studying nuclear engineering and even some work together with their Chinese counterparts.

Anyway Mullahstan won't go nuclear. The West have them by the balls as for the past 36 years.

Whether they do or not then nuclear energy is inevitable in KSA and the Arab world. Just look at Egypt, Jordan and UAE.

@kollang

Did your report your friend too? Like I care.

I don't care about filth or about your opinion. Arabs will defend holy Arab land from filth whether you or anyone else likes it or not.

Don't write to me KSA/Arab obsessed clown.
Also ,you dont care about the Prophet' words.

indeed, as i have seen, you arabs kiss any europeans feet like gods... wow... amazing... it is humbling to see who the clowns are then. you have to hire outsiders to defend your borders.

you are not the same people who went across from magrib to indonesia... they were the learned people. You and your 'modern' are my friend in the dark ages. Even the prophets are turning in their graves to see the state you are in. You have brought shame to your own religion, what else can be said.... you just deserve pity and lots of theraphy.

"But the kingdom of Saudi Arabia will take whatever measures are necessary in order to protect its security," he added. "There are two things over which we do not negotiate: Our faith and our security."

most of these idiots really believe they're in some kind of end times holy war
Indeed, they are high on camel dung and hiring others like prostitutes to go their bidding.

Go burn a witch in a impoverished village in South America while cheering like monkeys. That's all you are good at after the White man left. Outside of giving AID's to people and murdering each other and raping each other as the main hobby in times of total peace.

really, right now i see only the arabs excelling in all such abilities including aids which your men contract by visiting the east.

Africa might have been our playground for millenniums but I don't recall South Africa turning into an Arab country lately.

Anyway I don't care. Go play with a Farsi Mullah. As I said your opinion on Arab matters is as useful as the barking of a donkey.

If you ask nicely I will employ you as a toilet cleaner. 2 meals a day included.
al-hasani... is that you ?

indeed, that is all what you are good at.... cleaning french toilets.... last time in CDG, i see most of you cleaning streets, and other menial jobs.
if you need work, i will be glad to give you a labourer's work in my farm so that you know what it is to work.

Is that what your relative that cleaned toilets in KSA told you when he returned back to his village and started handling out remittances to all the impoverished people?

You are so mature. No one in my family has ever been to Saudi Arabia, thank god. I think you are delusional if you think Saudi Arabia has the know how to built a nuclear weapon. I remember i had to write a research paper on what it takes to enrich uranium, the amount of centrifuges (thousands) to a enrich tiny amount of plutonium is far beyond what you are likely capable of ever comprehending.

As far as I am aware then nuclear technology was first developed by the US after hiring hundreds of experts from abroad, especially from Nazi Germany. Later every single state that built nuclear weapons built nothing new and in many cases their ability to built nuclear weapons happened due to spying on those who already had built it or by hiring foreign nuclear scientists that later taught locals. So this is completely normal.

And the scientists involved in the creation of nuclear weapons were people such as Albert Einstein, a person that is responsible for such things a The Theory of Relativity, Saudi Arabia just does not have many people that are in the same league, mostly because education is not a priority for Saudi Arabia. Saudi Arabia is a scientific black hole in terms of science, it's university rankings are awful and the number of scientific journals published in Saudi Arabia is dismal. If Saudi Arabia was as advanced as you believe then were is the proof? Saudi Arabia has to import almost everything and hire foreign specialist such as scientists and engineers to work in the Saudi oil industry.

Secondly it seems to me that you have no clue whatsoever about nuclear energy in KSA. Before 2030 KSA will built 30 nuclear plants indigenously and in cooperation with several countries.

The only thing "indigenous" about any future Saudi nuclear power plant would be the laborers, and even then those will likely be migrant workers. Just like with every project, foreigners will do a large share of the technical work.

Lastly most of the skilled workers today are locals. The only reason why skilled workers were imported back in the day was due to the low population and rapid growth in KSA that was/is unprecedented outside of Europe. That is not relevant anymore as KSA for instance has the fourth most students at US universities after China (1.2 billion people) and India (1.2 billion people) and South Korea (55 million or so). In fact 150.000 students at US universities.

So I suggest that you stick to matters that you have a clue about.

Saudi Arabia has started a "Saudiazation" program but there is still plenty of foreign workers that work skilled positions in Saudi Arabia. There is about 100,000 westerners most of them work in skilled positions, but there is also skilled workers from all around the world including China, Japan, ect. Out of 53,000 nurses in Saudi Arabia, only 1000 are actually Saudi.

Sadly for you millions upon millions of your countrymen do exactly that and as many have once done that and more will follow.

As I said stick to matters that you have a clue about. This you have no clue about unlike me.

Are you dumb? You don't have to create another "Einstein" to develop nuclear energy and weapons down the road.

Ignorance speaking. KSA's universities are leading in the Muslim world and are constantly increasing in numbers and improving in quality and several universities are now ranked as among the 200 best universities in the world.

As I told you stop talking straight out of your smelly *** and stick to affairs that you have a clue about and which concern you.

Also stop using that Jordanian flag. No Arab wants anything to do with your likes. You are obviously too dumb and too ignorant to waste time on. You can't count to 10 in Arabic and now you are an expert about KSA. Only on PDF do such morons exist.

Let me repeat 30 (!) nuclear power plants/reactors will be built in KSA before 2030 mainly by locals in cooperation with our foreign partners. Several thousand Saudi Arabians are studying nuclear engineering and fields connected to that field abroad and at home.

Even a Chinese member in this very thread confirmed what I have been saying and that KSA and China work closely together on this front!

Now get lost and stop wasting my time.
