Featured Saudi Arabia and Pakistan: A partnership too important to fail

Sorry, but I'm trying to understand Your comment, for the Palestinians yes thats a given, but for SA and UAE???

So are You saying SA and UAE are the victims here?
Despite modern gadgets, both these countries are weak. Plus see their neighbourhood. Everyone is hostile to them. If they feel threatened, they will ask US/Isreal to have more bases so they can protect themselves against Iran and their proxies. A little security insurance form our side, at least save them from falling in west hands.

Those are the points raised in the video. I don't have same views @airmarshal @macnurv
Except the last one where I believe if push comes, we can dispense SMQ. It is not a big issue.
Otherwise, I believe as (Eagle said) SA shout trust (for Iran and Turkey) us if they think that Pak should trust them on their deals with India.
Also China trades with Iran, SA and India. So SA mustn't bother. We ourselves traded with Indians, so we cannot point out for SA. Our former PM was hand in hand with Modi. So that is not the issue.
Point is new SA leadership should be made clear that Kashmir is our core issue. However that must be conveyed in diplomatic manner. If MBS is naive/aggressive/childish, at least SMQ is seasoned politician. He must not stain this fragile relationship when SA feels insecure from all sides. Be it Yemen, Syria, Iraq, Iran, Turkey, Isreal, Malaysia etc.

It is childish to assume that SMQ interview was spontaneous and not pre planned.

It must have all been a good cop bad cop strategy to pressurize KSA and evaluate to what level MBS is ready to support Pakistan on kashmir.

Apparentky we got the answer that KSA do not have out back in Kashmir policy and accordingly we can make our future strategy.

Shah Mehmood Qureshi is a much mature person and it was a planned calculative move.

In Turkish: Gunah bizden gitti (Sins have left us)....

The KSA can’t now complain over certain Pak moves that potentially jeopardizes her standing and interests!! And, the Pak Chief has personally assured the KSA of their commitment to the physical integrity of the KSA...

If this was indeed the case, it was a stupid move by Pakistan, given that Saudia Arabia will not help to defend the physical integrity of Pakistan if India attacks Pakistan. It is an uneven commitments that says that Saudia Arabia for example, can start a war with Iran, and if Saudia Arabia starts losing, then Pakistan will be forced to have a war with Iran.

Stupid.

There is no benefit or upside to making a commitment to defend the physical integrity of Saudia Arabia ... so, lets not ..

We are already doing it and getting paid for this. Specially Makkah and Madina are under protection of Pakistan army. This is fine to protect in case of someone attack them but not to help Saudia to attack others.

Interesting video with the journalist Haroon Rasheed in it. I trust his opinions when it comes to govt policies/thinking and I trust his integrity. He has seen a lot in his life. An expert in the power politics of Pakistan. So, according to this video, the Saudis want the Pakistani Foreign Minister SMQ gone! To the Saudis, SMQ should not have gone public. But per Haroon Rasheed, the relations are on the mend because of Bajwa visit.
