Satellite images released Tuesday show that the alleged Israeli airstrike on Syria’s T-4 airbase overnight Sunday destroyed one or more elements that may be part of an advanced weapons system, possibly connected to Iran’s drone program in Syria.

According to the Israeli company ImageSat International (ISI), the strike destroyed “an element or a few, not an infrastructure, nearby an apron which lately hosted aircraft arriving from Tehran, Iran.”

“Since the attack targeted specific components, reasonably portable, it is assessed that they were of high importance,” ISI said, adding that it could have been “an advanced weapon system element, probably related to UAVs and possibly including a transportable ground control structure.”
