Sarjeel Memon arrested per TV from Islamabad.

KARACHI:
The Sindh High Court (SHC) inquired about the plans of former provincial information minister, Sharjeel Memon, to return to the country.

Headed by Justice Irfan Saadat Khan, the bench sought these details while hearing two applications seeking grant of pre-arrest bail for Memon and request to call details of corruption inquiries initiated by the federal agencies against him.

The Pakistan Peoples Party leader, who is currently living in self-exile in Dubai, said he had come to know through media that the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) and the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) had initiated inquiries against him.

Sindh former information minister Sharjeel Memon was arrested by intelligence agencies from Islamabad airport on Saturday.
The Pakistan Peoples Party leader was returning from Dubai when he was taken into custody.
Memon was accompanied by Mukesh Chowla, Faiyyaz Bhat, Taimour Talpur and Imdad Patafi.
He was taken into custody from the runway in the presence of the four ministers.

It was the time for him to come back he says in his interview that he will come back to face his charges I think he have been asked to come back. Somthing big is comming either it's panama decision or corruption.

Sindh’s ex-minister Sharjeel Memon arrested at Islamabad airport

Sharjeel Memon was taken into custody by officials at the Islamabad airport.

KARACHI: Sharjeel Inam Memon, the former information minister in the PPP-led government in Sindh, was arrested on Saturday night soon after a flight carrying him landed at the Islamabad airport.

Memon, who is facing a multibillion-rupee corruption case in the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), was arrested by the bureau’s officials from the runway after his flight from Dubai landed at the airport.

Four provincial ministers of Sindh Mukesh chawla, Imdad Pitafi, Fayyaz Butt and Taimor Talpur were accompanying Memon when he was taken into custody.

LHC dismisses Sharjeel Memon’s protective bail application

Memon had fled the country in 2015 to Dubai after the anti-corruption watchdog launched a crackdown against corrupt political figures and bureaucrats as part of the Karachi operation.

Later, a corruption reference was filed by NAB and subsequently the federal government put his name on the Exit Control List. He challenged the case and was directed to return to the country and defend himself. During his self-exile he lived in Dubai and London.

On Feb 21, the Sindh High Court issued intimation notices to NAB’s special prosecutor and the deputy attorney general on a miscellaneous application moved by Memon for extension of a protective bail in corruption cases.

Memon’s son Rawal, in a series of tweets, termed the arrest of his father ridiculous.

I personally know one of the guy who arrested him....met him last year when I was in Pak, will meet him again this year when I travel back
