Sarfa Ranga Car rally starts today, Skardu

Three days Sarfa Ranga Desert Car Rally will begin from 17th of this month in Skardu.

During these three day mega event Polo tournament, Boating competition in Indus River and the local Artist will perform the local cultural dance and music at the event.

In a meeting chair by Commissioner Baltistan Division Asim Ayub has finalized all the management for the successful completion of this mega event.

More than hundred Car participants will join the Sarfa Ranga Car rally.

Starting Date of Sarfa Ranga Desert Rally 2017 Announced


In the Northern region of Pakistan, Sarfa Ranga Desert located in Gilgit Baltistan is a beautiful place. Its path leads to some of the world’s highest mountains such as the Gasherbrum, K2, and K3. All these mountains are connected with this desert. Every year these highest mountains attract thousands of climbers as well as tourists from all over the world. Mountain Dew is presenting its 2017 Sarfa Ranga Desert Rally with the collaboration of the Gilgit Baltistan government. The Rally will be starting from 17-20th August 2017.

Every year Sarfa Ranga Desert Rally known as Pakistan’s most premiere racing event just keeps on getting better and refined. With the rally spectators coming from all over the country, this year’s rally is going to be really special as both male and female drivers will be taking part in 4*4 cars and bikes categories. The contestants will be competing on a forty kilometer race track. The total prize money in the six categories races is two million Pakistani rupees. To enlighten the tradition of Gilgit Baltistan, the event organizers have made special arrangements for the entertainment of the participants as well as the competitors which include Polo Match, cultural night, fireworks, grand dinner and much more.

The rally organizers have made the 40km track challenging and thrilled for the participants. The race route will be providing all kinds of terrains for rallying from salty plains to dunes. The terrain will be quite challenging and the participants will have to make special efforts to win the race. The rally will continue for four days.
