Russia’s S-400 Sale To India Won’t Imperil Its Partnership With Pakistan

@nahtanbob Pakistan is a tiny developing country with a weak economy having a giant rogue neighbor to the east in India who is also a self acclaimed super power. India is known for it's acts of state sponsored terrorism within the country but also extends ill wills in different forms of terrorism to it's neighbors as well. It is therefore that Pakistan has always tried to keep it's defensive capabilities to at least a minimum level. The S400 in Indian arsenal will tip the balance of power solely in their direction which could cause unrest in the small neighboring country of Pakistan. Pakistan has until 2023 to procure and attain abilities to be able to defend from the rogue intentions of a bully nation unless its already done. Game On!

what people like @nahtanbob fail to realize is that Pakistan (perhaps denial), in spite of having corruption political leadership, is an extremely resilient nation. Our strategic and tactical thinkers think far FAR ahead of what the enemy or enemies could possibly do and always go for the kill multiple birds with one stone approach. the seemingly untouchable corruption political mafia that have been masquerading as people loving democratic leaders are now on their last legs and forever to be gone down the drainage. THAT alone should tell the world about how resilient we really are. and is there EVER been any weapon system in india's possession that has been able to defeat us? the answer is NO! from way back to the days of 1965 when india thumped its chest about having the supposedly "undefeatable" mig21 (which they ended up loosing before they could even take off, just sayin') all the way to the latest 1999 kargil war when they touted mirage2000s and mig29s and yet, ended up loosing 2 fighters and a lot of choppers with ZERO losses in the air from our side...they have NEVER had any weapon system that gave them an effective edge over us at all. AND THEY WON'T! Rest assured, they would never know what hit them. That is why we keep our cards close to our chest instead of advertising our cards by thumping our chests.

That's just how we roll. 8-)

You are tooooooooooooo much overconfident @GumNaam :hitwall::hitwall::hitwall: in Kargil war they have BVRAAM we don't, and those indian jets were down by Manpads (anza) not by PAF and those two were MIg-21/Mig-27 not M-2000/Mig-29 and in 65 wars we had have also 12 F-104 star fighter you brainless person @GumNaam :crazy::crazy:

Ah haan, and ever stop to think "why" didn't they use there mirage-2000s and mig-29s with BVRAAMs? after all, gaining air superiority over our airspace would've drastically cut down india's casualties to the bare minimum so WHY DIDN'T THEY? I've been asking this question ever since 1999 and haven't gotten a reply worth mentioning. and the f-104 was not as maneuverable as the 8.5G mig-21. but they weren't even able to get the dang thing to the runway.

but feel free to hide under your bed and shiver with fear of indians all you want, more power to ya... :enjoy:

you have nukes. what else do you need ?

Nukes were built to serve as a deterrent for India. We just want the ability to defend against a vagabond nation not the ability to destroy humanity.

one Hiroshoma powered bomb will not destroy humanity. it serves as a deterrent to a wider war
of course things can get out of hand once you go nuclear

care to ask india the same question?

my take on India's S-400 deal
deter China without nukes
preserve ties with Russia
make it harder for pakistan to get s-400 calibre systems from russia

While india get s400 pakistan will get just that, joint drill a year. And we don't mind.

Pakistan at this point need Russia to play greater role in resolving Afghanistan crisis. Russia also supporting Taliban which will put pressure on Afghan puppet government to come to negotiating table. While Russia is playing a mediator role, it's also keeping a close eye on ISIS which was brought in Afghanistan by Americans.

As far as our defense requirement, Pakistan is getting JF-17 engine from Russia. We have also received Mi-35 helicopters and we might work with Russian on future defense requirements.

We have quite a few deals with varies countries in pipeline already but due to economy we might have wait just a little longer.

SU57 is a dead program, not going into production, much to india's dismay.

you won't be getting the s400s until 2023, it'll be extinct before it even arrives...

If you knew anything about defense equipment and capabilities of these systems, you won't make such a foolish statements. s200 is still capable to take down a planes, S400 is good for at least next 25+ years.

As far as SU57 program is concerned, you better ask Russian if it's dead or not.

We need to get something for stop gap purpose until we get something compatible to S-400 system.
FD-2000 in small numbers and for future work with China to acquire HQ-26 and the HQ-29.

as far as the su57 is concerned, I'm just saying what I saw on the news. maybe #FakeNews from fox, don't know and don't care.

Secondly, tell me ONE hot war war where any missile system ranging form s200s to the current s400s succeeded in blocking any attacks? just tell me ONE! from the Syrian isreali war to yugoslavia to present day Syria. the Russian missile systems have NOTHING to show for, NONE...zilch, ZIP! the ONLY Russian sam systems that showed results were those during the olden days of the vietnam war and the arab isreali 73 war. After that, EW went into hyperdrive and here we are, they have nothing to show for.

you can praise these systems until the cows fly home but the harsh reality paints a very different picture...

I am sorry but i don't agree. Each war is different, EW can also be blocked.

Having something with certain capability and using that system is two different thing. In order to defend yourself, you have to have the capability to block a missile attack and use the system at the right time.

Another example is having D* doesn't mean that you can make a baby, It's two different things, because some people shot blanks.
